okay, i understand were your coming from now. you've presented your arguement better there. i didn't understand it as it wasn't explained well initially. it's a bold contention, i'll give you that. i disagree with your interpretation of how things will pan out. maybe you could elaborate on these flaws and give some references - personally i don't see them.
Of course, mate. McCloskey, just like any other half-decent 140 pounder, has a great chance of putting Khan to sleep. But that's more of a testament to Khan's weak chin, than McCloskey's power. The only thing I'm saying, is that Khan has more pop in his punches than McCloskey. That's all.
Im looking forward to seeing what style khan is going to use! pre-prescott....... Very aggressive hand down low always trying to finish the fight early. LOST MASSIVE KO! Hands up high! scared of ko! Started to use the jab and let rip with 5 punch combo's then back off. Then come the Maidana aka the bull SOOOOOOO Khan now realised the precott fight was just a bad night and he can take a shot! Mentally he is thinking no one can stop me at 140! So are we going to see a new style from Khan? He spars so much with manny will he adapt his style? It nice to see this young great fighter developing into some thing great AS LONG as he learns from his mistakes and changes and from what we have seen he does that very well!
Perhaps Stocks, however I think Khan needs to be careful not to go into the Bradley fight with an over inflated confidence in his abilities fighting in a less cautious manner, because there is a big difference between doing it and Blitzing Mccloskey and going in the ring with Bradley
There's no debating that he has enough pop in his punches to put Khan down. Most of the half decent 140-pounders have the ability to do that to him. However, you can't base McCloskey's power being superior just because he has 3 actual KOs on his record and Khan doesn't. I mean, I can apply your logic and prove Khan's power is better: Khan's first 22 wins: 16 stoppages McCloskey's first 22 wins: 12 stoppages And when you examine most of Khan's stoppages, you'll notice the referee intervening before he even gets a chance to put them out cold. Khan's style is not one-punch counters, or one-punch hayemakers by planting his feet. His is fast combinations with a little emphasis on power, which result in the sort of stoppages he achieves. But if he had a good chin, and was confident enough to plant his feet and launch bombs, I'm pretty sure he'd achieve more KOs.
I find it funny how some people seem to think Maidana didn't land flush on Khan, did they watch another fight?
ne he did. and khan was out on his feet wobbling all over the place for 3 rounds. im baffled as to how this 'proved' he had a chin? flailing around and turning your back?:huh As usual on ESB, Khan went from being a glass jawed fraud to the second coming of George Chuvalo after barely surviving through clinches and staggering back to his corner. if it proved anything, its that the guy has got tremendous heart and has good conditioning. The thing is with Maidana is that you can see his punches coming - wheras a fighter like McCloskey will catch him (maybe) with a punch he doesnt see and then hes in trouble. dont get me wrong, as much as I would like to see Paul win I dont think he will. fugg it though - il be flying over for a boozy weekend!
