Dwyer from gamblers advisory: McCloskey is like Mayweather, Khan in big trouble

Was going to have £5 on him for having the same surname as me but now I can make a fortune!!!!

 

Can someone please explain to me how or why this Dwyer guy was any good in the first place? Granted, I've only noticed him in the past 4/5 months, but in nearly every one of those videos, he's been either horribly wrong, or has made some very strange observations.

So, guys, what is the big deal with him? I know the Brit forum hasn't regarded much of him, but that's because the people here have more sense. The general forum, on the other hand, love him. :huh

 

Cee Lo's actually predicting a Khan decision. He just reckons it'll be more competitive than people think..

My missus says he's the most boring man on the internet.

He needs to shorten them videos to about 3-4 mins instead of nearly 15. Has anyone ever sat through a whole one..

I wonder if profits from his ebook have outstripped those from any bets he's made? That's if he's ever made any!

That was quite strange. To put it mildly. The only thing McCloskey does not have that Mayweather has is a lead right hand?

He has gone badly downhill, I'm not defending him anymore.

It seems that anyone who makes an opponent miss is likened to Floyd.

But Cee Lo has a habit of doing this in all his videos. He'll say......

...."Superman, I think, is better than Hulk. He's faster, stronger, more skillful and more composed. And I think he will get the better of Hulk. But, I'm predicting Hulk will win."

What the ... :huh

He also spends 12 minutes bashing one fighter, saying he doesn't do this, he doesn't do that, and how all this will be his downfall. But ends up picking him as the victor. He just spouts bull**** to cover his back in the event he's proved wrong, so he can say "Ahhhh, but I still said he would win!"

 

tbh, i cant ever remember him predicting something which no1 else who's been watching the sport would have gotten right, dwayer technical aspect of the game is more informative then his actual predictions,

 

He's still living off Hopkins over Pavlik and Mosley over Margarito.

Unfortunately its starting to look more and more like he takes a underdog scattergun approach and that they were the exception rather than the norm.

I don't think this video deserves the amount of **** it's getting, nor does Dwyer himself. However, I will say he definitely has his favourites (mostly Dawson, Ward and it seems like Bradley) and his "McCloskey is like Mayweather" comment raised a chuckle. But he's gone down the route of trying to make you money and take advantage of the bookies more-so than solid predictions.

He's stated he thinks Khan will win by decision or take him out in 3 if McCloskey doesn't get into his rhythm, which is a fair guess. Then he's said to take the over and McCloskey which for his odds, is a fair bet too. I don't understand the problem.

It’s his mannerisms, more than anything, which annoy me. Like someone else has said, he’s no different to any other YouTube boxing fan that makes videos. But unlike them, Dwyer doesn’t put himself across as a fan. Instead, he pitches himself as some sort of expert. So when you put yourself on a high pedestal like that, I guess the criticisms are naturally going to be harsher when you make a terrible observation/analysis. And it makes it even more embarrassing when lets his bias leak out. I mean, have you seen the rant in his Vitali-Solis video? Some funny **** in that one. And he doesn’t take a liking to Freddie Roach fighters either, from my understanding.

 

I couldn't get through Vitali-Solis. That one he is very wrong about. Even if he isn't, I still believe it's a shot in the dark.
