I managed to find a few of his earlier fights being @ lightweight and I must say I was very impressed with his speed and power @ the weight...does anyone else think he woulda maybe done himself any credit by trying to stay there a little longer?

Cottoe has always been vastly overrated and was exposed when he stepped up in competition against the likes of Corley, Mosley, N'Dou and Judah.

    Cotto fought at lightweight?

I didn't know that. Are these up on YouTube?

And no, I don't think he could have stayed there any longer than he did. He became dead-man walking at 140 towards his latter days there, making it clear that his body was always built for 147.

I really miss the old Cotto, though.

I thought he only fought there once.

There was some talk of him going down once he was a full blown prospect but it obviously was aborted.

Winning four out of four fights and two by stoppage = exposed?

I have to agree with an earlier post. He was much quicker at the lower weights and he used counter punching more. But I don't think he could have made those weights for long. He would have been too drained.

Oh right, I didn't realize his debut fight was at lightweight. I'll have to watch that fight again. I may try and grab a career-set of his too.

Other stupid Cotto comment. How these people gather the balls to hate on a fighter that fought everyone and anyone is beyond me. He regardless Cotto's weakness were exposed later in his career yet hes still 35-2. Suck a dick.

Cotto didn't have the body for lightweight. He was killing himself just to make 140. Hes a natural 147 lber.

I don't know my way around the internet that well when it comes to downloading. If I find a decent place to buy them, I'll let you know.
