Winky is the same guy who refused to fight Oscar, because Oscar wasn't offering him "enough". Who rejects a fight with the biggest star ever in boxing history?

Winky also found a way to price himself out of fighting Mayweather.

If someone doesn't want to fight Oscar, I wouldn't call that person the avoided. I would think they're not that confident of their game.

Yeah I agree... Winky was avoided for a long time.... but so was Vernon Forrest back in the late 90's and early 2000's....props to Mosely for fighting both of those guys. High risk, low reward buts thats why no matter what, I'll always respect Shane Mosely for being a true champion. Something Mayweather is not.

Winky ducked out of a fight with DLH early on and ducked out of a rematch with JT. He cant win this award.

Winky passed on loads of offers, but you can't call him on ducking DLH, DLH low balled him and basically told him he's worth nothing.

The opportunity to increase your marketability from beating Oscar makes up for being lowballed.

Winky was stupid, he would of owned DLH and then gotten himself into big money fights, I agree. But I think Winky did not take lightly to being low balled and being told what to do by a ***** like DLH.

I agree... how can Winky beat Shane n Trinidad and draw with Taylor.. but we say he avoided DLH... I'm sorry.. DLH was a great fighter but there is no way Winky was afraid to fight him.. NO WAY.. he even took on B Hop afterwards.... Winky's problem is he wanted a lot of money... He's always been like that.. he always outprices himself of fights because he is pretty greedy

BUT.. I wouldn't blame Winky for pricing himself out of the DLH fight.. DLH is the cashcow of the sport and Winky deserved to get a lot of that gravy boat if they fought.. something Oscar wasn't trying to do

Only Winky knows why he did what he did. It's already hard to sell fights as a defensive fighter, but he was also a defensive fighter with little personality.
