Despite it being unlikely, he does have a chance, just as Graham Earl did, which is about the same chance Mccloskey has.
Khan has a load of stoppages, much more than Paul, youre right, though in England fights tend to get stopped more quickly than they do elsewhere, some of them may well have resulted in actual KO's without the ref's intervention...or not...that we'll never know. You think Khan has more pop in his punches (ie one punch power) and I think McCloskey has...I used actual KO's from their records youre using potential "if the ref didnt stop the fight"..."if Khan planted his feet"...scenarios...if my aunt had a dick she'd be my uncle! Not much point in us argueing about it...both of them have enough power to stop a fight which is what really counts. I cant ****in wait for this one!...I might even stop being a stingy **** and actually buy some tickets, though I like the unobstructed view on the tv...plus I have nicer drink here than they serve in most bars!..and hate wasting £££ on hotels/trains/etc.
When describing pop in punches, it doesn't have to mean KO power. Mayweather hasn't KO'd anyone since 1999, yet he still has very good pop in his punches. And using actual KOs from records can be inconclusive. Timothy Bradley is regarded as a light-hitter, yet he's scored 4 KOs in his career. Would you say he hits harder than Khan or McCloskey?
Pop in relation to power, is more what I was referring to. I wouldn't say Bradley hits any harder than McCloskey possibly a wee bit harder than Khan, though Khan throws more punches than Bradley or McCloskey and overwhelms his opponents with, many many arm punches thrown in quick succession...sort of like Calzaghe did.
This is not me suggesting Khan is a massive puncher or anything, but do you honestly think Bradley hits harder than Khan? And Khan punches nothing like Calzaghe. Calzaghe actually slapped!
I would say Khan bangs harder out of the 2. Thats body shot on Maidana was brilliant reminds me a bit of Hatton
I think he does, too. Judging who's the harder hitter by only looking at KOs on a resume, is inaccurate. In a lot of instances, TKOs are whiskers away from being actuall KOs. I mean, even Malignaggi has a KO where Khan doesn't! Does he hit harder too?
I agree! Khan knows his style and he knows speeds kills! I think Khan could of taken the path of developing KO power but decided to change other elements of his attack and i think he made the rite choice! The way khan scores a tko with combo after combo would make any ref stop a fight so fair play to him!
Yip I think Bradley hits harder as he successfully uses body weight in his punches, though Khan hits faster and more often. They (Calzaghe and Khan) punch similarly in the respect that their stoppages are the cumulative effect of lots of arm punches, no offense, but I dont really want to clog up the thread any further argueing about it right now.
