Ali,was an arrogant snake-oil salesman.Too bad young Joe Louis of the Baer fight, wasn't around at that time. Ali would have needed a dental surgeon,

Joe Louis was an ultimatley controlled and well behaved negro, his rightful place to your generation. Ali was the opposite of this. I'm glad you've lived to helplessly and bitterly see the world change

Gotta feel a bit sorry for Terrel. The guys obviously a bit slow.

    Ali verbally raped him.

Yes Doug, to see Joe Louis, circa Max Baer, fight any version of Ali. I would
give up my box seat of Lady Gagas concert.
That, Joe Louis would have caught up with Ali and kod him without a doubt.
Ali never fought any fighter who hit so hard in CLUSTERS, with so much hand
speed and leverage.Joe louis was a Gatling gun puncher, unlike any opponent
Ali ever fought. Ali couldnt escape the young Louis,as he did with his larger opponents as a Liston or a ponderous Foreman. If Ali had trouble with a doug jones, or a Ken Norton,he would be in dire straits with the prime Joe Louis.
Furthermore i am convinced that Joe Louis of the Baer fight in 1935, would have kod Billy Conn ,much earlier than the slower Louis of 1941..Cheers Doug...
