Junior featherweight titlist Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. of Puerto Rico will make his third defense against Mexican star Jorge Arce on May 7 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Top Rank's Carl Moretti told ESPN.com on Wednesday.
The fight will be one of the televised bouts on the Showtime PPV undercard of pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao's welterweight title defense against former champ Shane Mosley.

Lets see what WV2 has to offer. Even though Arce is past his prime I think he'll give him a good fight while it last.

Why is Arce still fighting? I give him much respect for fighting the best, but as you said, he is past his prime. I like Vasquez and it is a good name to add to his record. 122 division is a really high weight for Arce to be fighting at.

True, but Arce always comes to fight and is still a up iin competition for WV2. It'll give us a little glimpse of what hes got. At least this is the beginning fo him finally moving up in class. Its way overdue.

WV2 easy. Arce is very much past it and has got some dubious decisions against poor opponents. Vazquez looks like a very good fighter, big fan of his.
