They're both great fighters, but if B Hop could patiently outbox and ultimately stop Tito, so could JMM p4p.

The three Mexicans get way too underrated.

Better counters, MUCH better defense, better chin. Just more skillful in about every area. Not by a whole lot in any one area, but a little bit in EVERY area except pure power.

Would any of you answer differently if JMM had managed a win in either fight against Pac?

edit: by that I mean, if the scorecards alone were different, not the fights.

I'd say they're both a little over rated....but between the two of them Tito porbably takes it.

It's pretty difficult to pin down Marquez's prime exactly. He's had legendary encounters at 126, 130 and 135 and been on the wrong end of some bad decisions.

JMM lacks an ATG resume. Tito was more impressive and fought better against guys higher caliber like Whitaker and Camacho etc. Tito didn't lose to a Chris John

Camacho can't shine Pac, EM or MAB's shoes. Whitaker was on the decline and after he retires everyone will have Pac on a level with or above prime Pea anyways.

Probably not. I'm not going to go and pick Norton over Foreman or Frazier because he seemed to get the better of Ali in their trilogy. Styles make fights. Just because he fought evenly with Pac twice doesn't mean he can do things Pac can do.

JMM doesn't have the movement to offset Tito, nor the defense to avoid his well-placed shots. If their the same size, he'd land his fair share, give a good acount of himself, maybe even score a flash KD, but he's getting stopped. Tito wouldnt' have struggled as badly with similar sized versions of John or Norwood either, who were basically Oba Carr level fighters.

marquez has never been knocked out...and it can arguably be said that the only fight he's ever lost was against mayweather...who was two weight classes above marquez...
