Mike Tyson, age 20. But when I read the thread title I thought it was who would win the most H2H fantasy matchups, so I will still answer that. Roy Jones jr. There's not even a debate whether he would beat every SMW ever, he had everything. At 160 and 175 there's some competition but you could still say he beats everyone in those divisions and have good reason.
I find it hard to comment on Greb given that we haven't seen him fight. Robinson would be the favorite at WW and MW I guess but I'm still educating myself on the guy since my knowledge of pre 80's fighters is pretty poor. Robinson or Hearns... that would be a beauty. Even with the Leonard fight, it's just so hard to pick against Heanrs at 147. His size and how he used it was incredible. Personally I think why in general fighters from WW to MW are often the ones in the top in terms of P4P is because those are the weights where we can still see the speed from the lower weights, and the durability, strength and toughness of the higher weights.
Dude, Roy jones is heavily overated, one punch can change a fight and with his chin it would be over soon against the top level punchers
Tyson was a very complete fighter at that point i agree but I view the ali before jail as an equally complete fighter just we know that ali proved the intangibles like heart, desire and chin when he wasn't at his best and showed that he had the balls to overcome the odds. Saying that tyson would be a stylistic nightmare for Ali but i still think a prime Ali takes it.
I'd take Joe Louis over everyone. Guys off the top of my head that would have a better chance than anyone else: Tyson, Foreman, Ali, Klitschkos. I guess that means that is my list. And I'm not saying #1, but Jack Johnson would massacre a lot of folks.
I think the Klitschkos would rate highly here too. Not the best but still, they're huge and they're smart about how they use their size. I think the really good big guys like Lewis, Forman and the Klits would rank higher on a H2H basis then they how people currently rank the in the ATG Heavyweight list. What they lack in resume they make up for in size
Can't be underestimated in H2H. That's why Marciano, Dempsey, Jeffries, Langford, and Louis wouldn't fare well against elite 230+ competition. That's why a guy like Schmeling could easily be placed Andrew Golata (not saying I, but one could justifiably take that interpretation).
