Name boxers who had great careers and were well liked but had a terrible end.

Example Oscar after having a great career does what he normally does and faces the toughest guy available in Manny and gets crushed in his last fight and retires. imagine if he retired following Forbes in the sold out Dodgers Stadium where he gave cheap tickets to the people that would be a great end

Another example Chavez a great warrior and Mexican hero fights a little too long but only loses to quality following his first loss after a long unbeaten streak his career ends when he is forced to quit to Grover Wiley

How bout Whitaker going into retirment after quitting from an injury against Bojorquez

    Lastly Gatti vs Gomez

A career ending for one is a career start for another.

Maybe not well liked but when Tyson quit against McBride. Tyson would have destroyed him in his prime.

    Hatton doing Coke.

But worse one was watching Tito's fat getting manhandled by RJJ and Winky. Jesus. That was horrible. At least he went he was done after RJJ. Thank god.

RJJ is a good example I think (assuming he retires for good now)

Bad ending is more common than good. Athletes never know when to quit (source of their greatness and their eventual lead to an ugly retirement fight).
