They all performed in an era where a premium was placed on minimizing weight.

 

This is why I shake my head when people talk about the modern heavyweight, bulking, etc. and slag the older heavies that were cutting down like Louis, Dempsey, Schmeling, Patterson etc... It's very rare in the history of the division to find great fighters over 220 lbs...

Yeah, well Frazier has demolished some big guys too, not as big as the klitschkos but he has beat Bugner, Mathis, Bonavena, and some slick guys like Jones and Machen.

You know what else would be a problem..? Wladimir's lack of pressure in all of his fights. this guy never gets pushed by his opponent or lately, he rarely even gets hit. frazier would slip the jab and get inside.

Vitali would brawl with Frazier and eventually lose

thats right so L-HWs that stepped up like Conn, Moore, Cockell - not so much Charles, whom I always classed as a L-HW but someone pointed out a while back he was a HW longer and more decisively. btw way Charles merely passed through the middleweight division!

and ofcourse the other end eliminates ALL the S-HWs too! So the answers should be any True L-HWs who stepped up, either in & out again or towards the later part of their career growing into the weight.
