Did you not read my post? I stated that Calzaghe would win by UD as i believe him to have a better skillset.

But its a fact that Froch's career thus far has far exceeded expectations and at this level, his legacy will greatly surpass Calzaghe. He has a solid resume, not the best, but a fantastic resume considering most fighters are too puss to get into the ring with each other. He whupped Taylor, Pascal, Dirrell and Abraham within 2 years, try to argue with that my friend TRY
His loss to Kessler was honourable, both men put up a great fight.

    Cleverly?
Im not going to completely discredit him, but his last performance really put me off. Cleverly has potential but if he doesnt show signs of improvement he will end up a as meat for Hopkins, Pascal, Dawson, and even Froch at LHW

it would be like watching Calzaghe v Lacy all over again. Both good fighters and the more i see of Froch the more i rate him, but Calzaghe would absolutely destroy him.

Pascal gets gassed out too easy and thus the fight slipped away from him in the later rounds, same with Taylor, gassed out he was beating him on points. Dirrell gave him a hard time and if he stopped bitching would have won, Kessler beat him fair and square, Abraham win was a good confidence booster for him but Dirrell showed how limited Abraham really is.

Oh and Calzaghe would beat Froch quite easily and every other S6.

your point being? that they were bad fighters?

Pascal went on to become LHW champion even with his stamina issues

A win over Taylor will also be recognized, what made it even more special is that he needed to KO him in the last round, which he did...in the last minute!

Froch's mental strength ****ed with Dirrel's composure, this whole "Dirrel would have won if he wasnt bitching" is an excuse because mental strenght is part of boxing

He lost to Kessler, fair enough, at least he fought him.

He destroyed Abraham as the massive ESB underdog, only a few picked him too win. And he did so completely shutting out Abraham for 12 rounds.

Just shows how weak the division is, come one man the dude just got outclassed by an OAP.

Wow its really hard to KO Taylor in the last round, i'm sure no one has ever done that before, oh wait....

Anyone who isn't biased (hater) knew Froch would beat Abraham.

Im not a Froch hater (I am a fan) but i'm sick of people talking about him as if he's the best SMW ever, comparing him to Calzaghe is un-just, Calzaghe was on another level.

Slappy wouldn't have the balls to enter the Super Six. His lack of a resume is what makes a hypothetical thread like this so interesting. With other fighters there's a "he beat A, so he would probably beat B" argument. But with slappy, it's "well, he never really fought anybody like that so I don't know."

This guy dont know **** about boxing, and so do all those who think this would be a 120 - 108 in favour of Calzaghe.

    1. Lacy is shorter and has less reach than Calzaghe, and Calzaghe is shorter and has less reach than Froch.

    2. Lacy had limited skillset and hardly any use of a jab, while Froch is far more awkward to figure out and has shown a good use of a jab

IMO Calzaghe doesnt have the power to bother Froch and slaps wont be an issue when out of range.

But that is just weird. Taylor was wrecked by Pavlik already when Froch got to him, and Taylor was still outboxing him before Taylor gassed.

Pascal was beaten up by a much older BHop in his first defense, a guy Calzaghe made breath hard and act like he got hit hard in the balls. With CALSLAPS!

Kessler was found out to be fighting without his full ocular faculties, brawling with Froch rather than boxing with range mastery. And that Kessler was a rusty version compared to the one Calzaghe decisively beat.

Abraham has never beaten a 168 pounder of real note, actually, he probably has never beaten a real 168 pounder at all. He's likely even smaller than Jeff Lacy was.

With Dirrell, that's a win which could be considered as good, but Dirrell's ruining his own career right now.

And there's a pretty good chance that even all these guys never would be able to match up to much earlier versions of BHop and Kessler, much less against Calzaghe.

Froch seems to be either vastly underrated or incredibly overrated (Britain's Larry Holmes). I think he would have been an excellent contender, but the later Calzaghe, who relied on speed rather than power, would win something like 116-112. The earlier Calzaghe would struggle.

calzaghe beat Hopkins (clearly, in my view) . froch, great for the sport though he is, hasn't done anything that compares to that.

Power is never what bothers Calzaghe's opponents. Even Kessler says this. Even Hopkins says this. Fighting Calzaghe is like fighting a windmill. They're overwhelmed by his sheer volume of punching and the speed it comes at. And Calzaghe is not just fast with his hands, his body movement, footspeed, and well, just about everything, is much faster than just about anything Froch has.
