I Dont buy all that coward crap. He was hit full force, unexpectadly by one of the hardest p4p punchers in the world while on his knees. If as some say,he took a second and freely DECIDED to go down(in a fight he was winning comfortably),that must mean he was the greatest jaw in all of boxing. Or maybe, just maybe it was a delayed knockdown as you see ALL.THE.TIME when guys are standing on their feet.
Because Dirrell said he would like to meet Ward in a fight where both would be titlists, I say he's either gonna shoot for a Bute or Stieglitz fight. Stieglitz he could fight in his comeback fight so to speak, but he'd have to take a tune-up before thinking about an IBF title shot.
Nobody. I don't ever want to see him fight again. He's the epitome of cowardice. Against Stevens, he put on a terrible performance, which was bad enough to get blackballed from HBO, and when told the fans were booing, said something like "I got paid like a mother****er, so I don't care". He talked so much **** to Froch, which was disgusting, and then ran the entire fight, completely afraid of any contact. He then redeemed himself for most of the fight against Abraham but the aftermath of the KO was farcical. Ward would have fought him, so there's no allegiance between friends, but Dirrell had absolutely no intention to make that fight happen. The fight was proposed twice and, both times, neither fighter entered training camp and no venue was ever announce. Then he pulled the "Shaw Hi" **** and even Showtime ridiculed him and, as bluntly as they can without defamation charges, exposed him as the coward he is. I hope he never makes another dollar from boxing again. Should he retire tomorrow, that's fine by me.
Yeah the Ward fight should still happen. #1 I reakon a rematch with Froch would be interesting, since alot of people feel he did enough to win the first. But only after Kessler or Bute, both is maybe asking too much, but is a sure fire way to go about proving the doubters wrong. (me included) I voted Ward.
I've always been a Dirrell fan and supporter. I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt after the Abraham fight. Even after he pulled out of the tournament after stalling for months on making the Ward. I was still willing to believe that there was a neurological issues as he said. But, I just can't buy the Fight Camp 360 footage. Refusing to answer questions. Not knowing the name of the doctor. Lawyering up after a few questions. Those are the actions of a guilty person hiding something or afraid of a lawsuit and not a person with a serious medical issue seeking help.
