I guess you missed that part where I've typed 3 times now that my arguement wasn't whether or not glass jaws exist huh? I hope you're not the smart one of the group. Also, you again proved my point that rather than debating anything you just type the same moronic one liners over and over and over. Well done.

The ChinCheckers responsiblities lie in Checking Chins. We also branch out into Bodies, and Hearts. It's up for some other group to examine fighters' susceptibility to cuts.

Show me where I said they don't exist. Good Lord do you guys ever read? My points were this A) too many fighters, even ones that exist in your highlight reels, are unfairly lumped in as having a 'glass jaw', 2) Rico said it's the most important factor, which just because I'm saying it's not doesn't immediatley mean that I'm saying it doesn't factor at all. 3) On many occasions one of you will have a thread that reads "so and so has a glass jaw", and when anyone tries to debate it you post the same **** 46an0 posted in this thread. Let me put this in all caps so hopefully you can understand what I am saying. I'M NOT DISAGREEING THAT GLASS JAWS EXIST, I'M SAYING THAT YOU OBSESS OVER ONE FACET OF A FIGHTERS ABILITIES AND PUT FIGHTERS ON "GLASS JAW" WATCH AND WHATEVER ELSE YOU COME UP WITH AFTER THEIR FIRST STOPPAGE LOSS. There are other points I've already made as well and they can be found in my earlier post in this thread, I'm just not going to retype them becasue I'm sure whatever response you have will little to do with anything I've just typed.

Finally...the guy I was actually talking to.
    Post From Other Thread:
Also I'd like to rufute your stunningly stupid post about Lucian Bute having a glass jaw. The Andrade fight is the only moment you referenced him being exposed for his glass jaw. Now while I don't think Andrade is anything better than a C+ or B- fighter if he does one thing well, it's punch, stopping 22 of 29 opponents. The rest of your arguement only sites Butes padded record and lack of oppostition. How do the two apply? And don't say he's being protected, beacuse when Bute was really starting to gain recognition, the Super Six was being formed so most of the viable options for Bute were unavailable becauase at the time Bute was in a contract with HBO. All he's really been left to do since the tourney started was stay busy fights, which any pro should do to keep away ring rust. I'm not defending Bute by any means, and yes he did get a long count and it should have been a loss, but it wouldve been to a guy with a 70% KO rating. Now that he's with Showtime when the SS is over we can find out alot more about him once he faces the top opposition, but until then the jury is still out. Think before you type.

Also, it still doesnt asnwer the question as to how you've been a "chinchecker" for 3 years and still an apprentice. It's not that elite of a club, at the end of a day it's 4 or 5 guys on a boxing forum, who normally just spout bull****.

    rayrayv123,

may I ask who some of your favorite fighters are? Maybe that is the root of the problem here? Did they happened to be featured in the Glass Jaw movie franchise by chance?:think

I have a vast knowledge on Chins and punch resistance, but admittedly not quite up to scratch as the Chincheckers and Team Elite, therefore I consider myself still an apprentice in the Chinchecking game.

Having a Glass Jaw is a dangerous thing.

    http://www.cambridge-news.co.uk/Home/Victim-did-not-have-glass-jaw-court-hears.htm

As for Lucian Bute, he has a Glass Jaw, end of discussion. He fights tomato cans and got knocked out in the process, therefore he has a Glass Jaw. He is a home town fighter who fights for his trinket title against overmatched stiffs, whilst selling himself as an elite 168lber - therefore he is a fraud. That's not hating, that's a natural reaction to attempted fraud. Bute is just as bad if not worse than Ottke etc. He's a joke.

    A) I already answered this question to Zakman, so once again, if you guys are going to join in a debate keep up. B) I don't particularly have a favorite fighter, as I'm a much bigger fan of certain matchups and how fights play out. Isn't it ironic that I've accused you guys of speweing out the same bull**** repeatedley and yo and Zakman come up with the same question?

You're not adressing the point here. Whether or not he's protected or a fraud or anything else you're claiming, that isn't the topic. The only proof you could have of having a glass jaw is the Andrade knockdown, which regardless of the long count (which I again agree he got) didn't knock him out. And Andrade is a very good puncher. Also being such an "expert" of chins wouldnt you think that fatigue plays a huge role in punch resistance? A KO in round one is not equivelant to a KO in round 11.
