It was a con on the public, disgraced Haye and shamed the sport. He came out of that so called contest diminished.

whether u mans wanna admit it or not, the day david haye retires the heavyweight divison is DEAD!!

reason being because he is the ONLY current heavyweight who could potentially defeat a klitschko!!

the next closest person is Adamek whose chances of victory is realistically ZERO!!

The Audley fight was pushed on him by Sky. It promotes the idea that if you win Prizefighter you might get a shot at a world title. Haye originally signed with Setanta to avoid this bull****. People here don't quite understand the damage Setantas demise did to Hayes HW campaign.

"I want people to say about me that he is an athlete and a great fighter who was willing to fight the division’s best.” They don't get much better than 'A Force', duhhh...

Not true mate, youve been sold another line by the Haye camp.

Dave CANT beat Vlad and he CANT beat Vitali.

He CANT take the punishment they will dish out, he simply doesnt have the constitution to take the huge shots the Klits will nail him with, its just not possible.

If he could then the fight would have already happened.

Dave is holding out for a final amazing payday in which he will sell his sh*ty WBA strap to the Klits for millions.

What do you mean, how could he have a legacy if he hadn't fought the #1 ATG Audley Harrison? even though I think Audley was robbed, that still elevates Haye's status to #2 p4p ATG ( still behind Audley, of course)

I'm dreading to see Haye in any Holywood films, or tv appearances without even fighting someone remotely dangerous before his retirement...

Like anyone else said it made sense in a financial way, because the conned British public paid a lot of their well earned money to watch that "fight".
Boxingwise it didn't make sense at all but that doesn't matter to his fans anyway.
A lot of them just want to see him win, and don't care if he fights some washed up hasbeen or even some bum, as long as the numbers are right (ea Haye's wins +1, KO's +1, bankaccount + a lot) they seem to be happy with it and can go on shouting how good "their man" actually is.

So only financial sense, like anything he did until now in HW.
