2000-2009 Manny Pacquiao 1990-1999 Roy Jones Jr 1980-1989 Mike Tyson I was born in 81 so I might be wrong about Tyson. My mom always liked Sugar Ray Leonard better but we're from DC so she was probably biased. Tyson was 100% the reason I love boxing so he gets my vote. What does ESB think?
1960s: Emile Griffith Others: Muhammad Ali, Eder Jofre 1970s: Roberto Duran Others: Carlos Monzon, Muhammad Ali 1980s: Sugar Ray Leonard (this is a tough decade to pick just one IMO) Others: Marvin Hagler, Mike Tyson, Julio Cesar Chavez, Thomas Hearns, Michael Spinks 1990s: Pernell Whitaker (another tough decade to pick one) Others: Roy Jones, Oscar De La Hoya, Evander Holyfield 2000s: Manny Pacquiao Others: Floyd Mayweather, Bernard Hopkins
Technically a decade starts with the 1, not 0. There's no year 0, it started with year 1. Just saying.
my personal 00`s calzaghe, 90`s naz,80`s srl. they are the fighters i followed most through those periods so my top fighters of those decades.
I don't know who is, but I know who isn't . Jones and Mayweather aren't fighters of the decade . Avoiding their biggest potential challenges disqualify them from all consideration.
Spot on sir! Only thing I was change is RJJ as the fighter of the 90s. But I won't argue too much about Sweatpea being given the nod aste two are very interchangeable IMO
