:patsch:patsch:patsch Yeah its much harder to put up 2 extra lbs and be effective than to put up 25 extra lbs.

    Abraham lincoln said once, that

"It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt." You should Write it down and check every time before you write something as stupid as the sentence i highlighted.

Unless he will fight a truly brilliant fight of his life.

And all the splendor will escape Haye forever :hey

If it would be Haye beating Wlad, would you say that it just shows Wlad's flaws rather than Haye's ability too?

But he still jumped the same weight span, so its the same jump so to speak

Anyway the answer is clearly NO

Pac is a 4 weight linear champ ,

Adamek has two victories over two men with a world title attached to their names. Those in only one weight class, as he never beat a champ at light heavyweight or heavyweight (feel free to correct if I missed someone). He'd be generally accepted as the lineal champ in two weights with a win over Wlad and having added one more world champion beaten, in a second division, to total three. Pacquiao has been a linear champion in four weight classes, titlist in eight whether anyone likes it or not and has 15 different victories over 13 different world champions from flyweight to light middleweight. If you think one victory for Adamek closes that kind of gap...I simply don't think we'll see eye to eye on the subject. Adamek's a damn fine fighter but you don't go from damn fine to arguably a top 15-20 ATG with one win over Wladimir Klitschko when you weigh comfortably over 200 pounds. Not for me anyway.

IN his career Pac has added about the same amount of weight as Tomaz and considering the size differenmce it is a far far far higher percentage :good

    Shove that up Abs ass

Like you have to tell me this.

I wasnt talking about these 2 particular fighters, i was referring to Jack's general statement about weight jumping. Which is not true.

So do me a favour and stay away from my ass :good

The difference between light heavy and heavyweight, is 25lbs. Pacquiao has jumped up more than that in his career and the difference between a pound or two in the heavyweights is nothing, but in the lower weights, it's hugely significant.

Pacquaio has beaten oponnents from 112 - 150 pounds thats 25%
If Adamek beats Wlad it will be 175 - about 243 and thats 28%
And Wlad is Ring champion Margarito was not. So in terms of weight jumping Adamek beating Wlad is more impresive, but he won't beat him.

I can't believe this poll is close.

Pacquiao is beating great fighters. Even with a Wlad win, would be be impressive, Adamek has nothing close to what Pacquiao has already done. If you wanted to compare Pacquiao's weight jumping between the Sasakul and Diaz fight, to what Adamek has done, Pacquiao would still be a long way ahead. A Wlad win wouldn't change that.

Im not talking about Pacquiao and adamek, Im talking generally. Fighters in lower weight classes, tend to jump in weights more often as its easier for them becouse of small diferrences between the limits. Even if we consider the fact thet they re smaller and these 2 lbs are harder to put than for the bigger guys, The rule still remains.

Oh, and 175+25= 200 which is a cruiserweight limit. Which Hw fighter weighs 200 lbs? Presently 25 lbs is a difference between Lhw And Cw not Hw.

...I'm a bit puzzled at that, Jack and I'm starting to think we're not getting the TS's meaning properly now that I reread the OP and poll. Do you think he means Adamek's jump from CW to HW against Pac's jump from LWW to WW? Because that would at least make sense and I'd agree if that were the case, I think.

I was assuming he meant Adamek from 175lbs to heavy and Pacquiao's jump from 112 to 154lbs? Though, to me, it seems impossible that anyone could genuinely think, if that is the question, what Adamek has done is more impressive. Pacquiao's achievements are probably only equaled by what Armstrong did whereas Adamek's achievement would be impressive, but I'd say clearly bettered by Jones, Fitz, Hearns etc..

I don't think it would be better achievement if he'd beat Wlad, but when you're pretty much a natural LHW, there is nothing more you can do that he would. Well, maybe if he didn't lose to Dawson it would be that, to be exact, but it's not THAT incomparable as you say.

That indeed would seem the only thing that would make sense to me too... But I still believe he means the whole 8 weightclass jumps from Pac against the 3 weightclass jumps from Tomasz.
