dela hoya was in full agreement with the 147. from what i understand, jmm was not expecting floyd to come in at 146. also, pac had no control as to dela hoya's conditioning and weight. mayweather had the option to meet jmm at a lower weight as he was already asking jmm to go up in so much weight quickly. this much scrutiny as this is the reason floyd is asking for osdt against pac, that he believes in fighting on a level playing field. he claims boxing is a dangerous sport and should be fought at equal grounds.

sure pac had no control over oscars weight...you can sit here and argue that oscar agreed to 147 all day....the bottom line is thats where the fight had to take place in order to happen....pac wouldnt go higher and oscar certainly couldnt get lower.....oscar hadnt fought there in like 7 years lol....sure may could have met jmm at 140 if he really wanted to break a sweat....but why bother...floyd calls the shots(just like manny calls the shots when asking for catchweights)....floyd campaigns at 147 and even went and beat oscar at 154(didnt take a vacant 154 title at a 150 catch like pac)....everyone knows floyd is and was never going below 147 after he took his first hiatus....you want the fight with floyd...the payday....come get it

totally not in keeping with his so called principles on a level playing field if you ask me. its more of them budging to floyd if they want the fight.

if floyd fights manny...is it going to be at 135??? nooopppeee.....did you actually think floyd was every going to fight below 147 after taking a retirement? i hope not....didnt hatton come up to 147 to meet floyd? yep.....so floyds win over jmm isnt some monumental/groundbreaking victory......its a win vs one of the top 3 p4p guys at the time....in dominate fashion....deal with it

    two things:

    1. floyd would not compromise safety at any level that's why he pushes for a level playing field. boxing is a dangerous sport as it is. this is the very reason why floyd is asking for osdt.

    2. however, can you say with conviction that floyd-jmm fought at a level playing field and that jmm's condition was not in any way jeopardized in that fight?

no, not really. it's just that i find floyd bullshitting fans when he says this as the reason because i never really believed him to be a fair person. he's a businessman and he'll have his way. however, a lot of fans here are believing in him when he says that and they are backing that principle.

That would basically be admitting "all roads lead to Manny Pacquiao". I can't see that egotistical little **** doing that. It would also serve no purpose as the entire world knows Pacquiao wants to fight Mayweather. Floyd signing the contract is pretty much the only way he'll get recognition for wanting the fight.

he wants to make sure people that he fights arent on PEDs....things that unnaturally enchance your stamina, speed, and power.....i dont see whats so wrong with that.....its not an unreasonable demand....yet for some reason pac and his people cant meet the demand(pac, arum, and koncz have all made different claims as to how far they are willing to go to meet that demand...so it doesnt look like they have taken a step forward to do so).....its a simple demand....and pac could even say "were gonna test against shane mosley...with a 14 day cutoff"....but they wont even do that....

its pretty simple...yet you wanna take two totally different things and make the same.....making a man move up in weight vs wanting stronger testing....

how exactly does the "entire world" know pac wants the fight?

i mean aside from the general media calling floyd a coward because he comes off as a selfish jerk...and manny is the golden boy/media darling

strictly looking at facts....pac and his team have shown no more willingness to get the fight done than floyd has

Floyd really needs to make a comeback though. Even his haters like Leonard can't keep his name out of their mouth.

Well i would love for this to happen, imagine if floyd called pac man out in the same way that shane did too him, what a sub plot.

Floyd has to call pac out because pac wont do it he had thge perfect oppurtunity after the margo fight, he is just a man who hangs by the string until his master directs his moves.
