Adamek beating Wlad is indeed impressive but one win against a great boxer doesn't mean you are a great weight jumper.

Pac started fighting at 106lbs (Jr. Flyweight) and he went as far as JMW. That is 11 weight divisions. Adamek started at light HW and he is now fighting at HW. That is a 3 weight division jump. They are not really close if we talk about their weight jumping exploits.

i would still say pac's weight jumping by far. if adamek beat one of the klits he'd be HOF, but pacquaio has moved up a bigger proportion of weight and has fought the p4p better competition. i mean, apart from hypothetically a Klit, has adamek ever beat a future HOF? whereas Pac has beaten at least 4-jmm, morales, barrera and cotto

Which is why no fighter has ever won titles in the 3 highest weight classes....:patsch

Moving up 4 pounds is so much harder.

I think you're forgetting a lot of fighters who skipped CW, and the ones that won titles in the higher classes when CW didn't even exist.

But not because of the difficulty, but because it's actually possible to do it by skipping an entire weightclass (much bigger weightgap, and therefore more difficult) or the weightclass not even existing.

If Adamek were to somehow beat Wlad it would be a great achievement but it can't compare to what Pac has done.

Quite a few fighters have won titles from light heavyweight to heavyweight, hell Fitzsimmons and RJJ went from middleweight to heavyweight so Adamek beating Wlad would hardly be unique.

Pac going from 106lbs to 154lbs is clearly unique and he has beaten several guaranteed Hall of Fame candidates in the process. Who has Adamek beaten that could be regarded as a guaranteed Hall of Fame candidate?

Adamek fights men. Pac fights boys that weigh what some of our girlfiends weigh. I can care less for the smaller weight classes.

ademek is 1 tough bloke, good chin, good skill, but simply doesnt have the power to worry wlad or vitali for that matter, if and a big if he can pull a big upset it is H.O.F worthy and u have to respect him for going after any klistko goes to show what kind of person he is ... ps his 2 fights with paul briggs were wars !!!

Sorry for my mistake thought this was a boxing forum rather than the homo erotic Adamek appreciation forum. :-(

note... RJJ (much respect) ... only won the heavyweight title against a mediocre oppenent , he fought at the right time.. any other heavy weight would have bullied him and hurt him..

If Adameck could actually defeat Wladimir Klticshko that would surpass a lot of fighters in terms of legacy but Manny is definitely building a solid case of his own. Longevity is also important in addition to significant wins.
