... by losing more of my next 10 fights, than any other newly-crowned champion recognized by BoxRec.

    Who am I?

Wallace "Bud" Smith lost 11 in a row after handling Jimmy Carter.

A quick ko win for you:good

The question was: Who lost the most of his next 10 fights after winning a world title?
Smith actually had a first successful defence - before he lost 11 straight. So, in fact, he lost "only" 9 of his next 10 fights. But you are still right - no one has lost more than 9 of his next 10 fights, after winning a world title.

But there's another world champ, who ties with Smith in this category.
    Can you name him?

Yep, that was the other one:good

Holberg lost 7 of his last 10 fights before winning the world title... and 9 of his first 10 after!
