Team Herelius thought that if they stopped the fight now it'd be No Contest but then SS corrected his team that it's an official bout and thus it'd go to the scorecards and team Herelius decided to fight.

Maybe that was his strategy. Get to round 4, hurt knee, come out for round 5 firing.

    Round...5

Herelius hooks to the body, looking fierce. Hernandez covers up and watches him. Herelius advances behind his jab. Both posture. Body feint by Hernandez gets Herelius to react. Herelius looks anxious...he might be trying to end this with a big shot. They paw with jabs back and forth as Hernandez slowly creeps in a circle around Herelius. Ooh, they exchange right hooks to the face and Hernandez lands his second as a thudding punctuation mark. Herelius jabs along after him. Hernandez slides his feet back a few inches at a time, luring Herelius in. Long jab to the face by Hernandez. Both paw with short jabs.

    48-47 Hernandez

Sounds like he's taking a page from Yuri Foreman's book.

Sadly, it's probably the wrong page

Close round, both of them came out firing in the first minute....I wonder why? :D

    Gave that round to Herelius.

Yeah, strange. That first minute or two after they called time in was some of his best work of the night so far.

I'm not watching so obviously I dont know, but do you think Herelius knows it's just a matter of time before his knee gives way and he's just trying to get Hernandez out of there quickly? If he is in fact fighting aggressively now.

    Round 6

Slow start here, by contrast. Hernandez draws first blood with a lead left. Both jab, with Herelius in the center of the ring and Hernandez in orbit. Herelius launches some big overhand lefts, slamming them into the taller boxer's shoulder. Hernandez circles left and pops off a 1-2 before changing directions. Herelius tries to follow with his hands down and slip jabs by leaning back but fails to do so consistently and eats a couple. Herelius has a bloody lip. Hernandez paws with his jab. Then he throw a stiff one while barking. It seems Hernandez can only put torque on his shots when he barks. :? More barking as he gets a 1-2 going.

    58-56 to the challenger.

Gave that round back to Hernandez. Herekius did virtually nothing, he may need another 5 minute timeout.

Maybe. He was in the 5th. In the 6th he wasn't nearly as aggressive and seemed to just be winging big shots every now and then.

If anyone wants to know Crolla-Watson has been excellent so far with six rounds gone. Crolla ahead 4-2 by my reckoning.

    Round 7

Herelius comes bouncing forward behind his jab. He is staying right on top of Hernandez but not letting his hands go much. HE WALKS INTO A RIGHT HOOK AND LEFT CROSS COMBO TO THE FACE THAT HAS HIM ON ***** STREET!! ANOTHER!!! KTFO?!!! No, he's up. Bloody. Dazed. Hernandez bombs him back down. OVER!!!!

Steve Smoger doesn't bother applying a count.
