Cotto was prime, he only lost one time and he was in his 20's, not to mention a welterweight champ. Hatton never lost at 140, was ring champ, still very young. Both guys got absolutely raped.

I think his wins over mab were better but I think I know what you mean. Because of the size difference they might of been more significant in historical terms, but mab even tho past his prime was the best in his weight. Imo the cotto and hatton wins more sigificant but can't say they were at their best because they were not.
To me mab is pacmans most legit win as castillo is floyds in the rematch.

Good point but we are working off a distinct list here and mab is not on it.

    poll results are quite accurate
Cotto was in great shape, however didnt have a good gameplan or trainer...and had a dodgy win over clottey
Clottey was in his prime though, having performed very well against cotto but came with the wrong intentions

hatton, clottey, cotto and margo were all still close enough to their prime to not be considered shot. I'd probably choose cotto out of that list.

Pac's weakest opponent of late, so I guess he is being overlooked.

Did David Diaz even have a prime?

Of the list I'd say Cotto, Margarito, Clottey and Hatton where all still in some form of prime (even if they weren't peak.) Margarito and Clottey just weren't worthy of the great Manny Pacquiao, that is the only problem I have with him fighting those two one after another. Cotto, Hatton and de la Hoya were great wins against worthy challengers (de la Hoya even if he was done was the favourite going into the fight holding so many other advamtages, even if I was so nervous I have never actually watched the fight.)
