I agree. Fedor has to take advantage of his speed to win. If Silva can find a way to nullify that advantage he will probably blanket, smother, and defeat Fedor.

Truth. Anybody that thinks that this fight is a gimme for Fedor is very mistaken.

Silva said that he will win with his GnP. His GnP is genuinely frightening. Fedor better not get himself fully mounted.

I cannot see how Silva wins this. I think Fedor will land a fast, accurate right hand a minute or so into the first and finish Silva off with some frenetic g'n'p, Big Foot is tailor made for Fedor IMO.

Im exactly im the same camp as BoxingCar.I dont see this as a given at all. This is a genuine 50/50 fight for me. And will prove wether Fedor still has it.

Exactly. Silva is a bum. If Fedor can't beat him he needs to retire.

Unlike Werdum and Arlovski, Fedor will take the fight to Big Foot. Even when he is on the back foot, it will only be to set up something more devastating.

Big Foot is a good fighter, just not good enough. If he wins, Fedor is definitely on the slide unless he wins a very technical fight showing he is just a much better striker and grappler than we thought.

Good post BC, Fedor is clearly not what he was and Silva is no pushover for anyone. The size difference is properly alarming as well (for a Fedor fan)

This is Fedors problem these days, I think. When youre imagining how he beats these top fighters, you have to make all sorts of assumptions about his oppoenet; he'll be too slow, he got caught by a lt heavy etc. In his prime Fedor would have thrown him and ripped his arm off. You wouldn't have to think about Silvas chin or how Fedor would cope with a big guy in a clinch or anything...itd just be assumed that Fedor would get hold of him, trip him and dominate. Not anymore.

I love seeing all the Fedor nuthuggers building Silva up and saying it's a genuine 50/50 fight, gimme a break, that fight against Werdum Fedor looked great but made a stupid mistake got over keen, the Rogers fight was a great win, Rogers is a deadly banger and Fedor took him on at his own game and got the KO.

The blokes 34yrs not young but not old either, some fighters are at their peak mid 30's.
