New breed as though tall guys have never existed :patsch

WALDO couldn't even earn a title shot against Lewis because he kept getting flattened by guys that went on to fight Lewis, what does that tell you? VITLAY only got a shot at Lewis as a substitute....

Ali fought guys just as tall as the Klits, who had better movement and athleticism and fitness too. He also fought men that hit hard enough to make WALDO and VITLAY **** in their shorts, and he beat them all with the exception of the guys he fought when he was on his last legs. He NEVER lost to bums like both the Klits did.

    Truly shameful thread.

Wladamir has a fragile Glass Jaw and his fights are the cure for insomnia, even Manny Stewar was screaming at him in his last few fights to be more aggressive vs the total bums he was fighting.

Vitali is a Glass Hearted steroid cheat. He got caught cheating with steroids, and he is on camera quitting saying "it hurts too much!". He is a quitter and a cheat, end of discussion.

I remember getting pumped the first time I saw Wlad, thinking he was the total package and would clean up the division and restore heavyweight boxing to its rightful place. And being excited that Godzilla had a twin brother to boot! A new Tyson-esque era was surely beginning with crumpled pretenders and decisive knockouts one after another.

For all their gifts, and those are measurably many, exactly how much did we benefit from those gifts? How many memorable fights and great performances? For as great their talents, we got less from them both than any fighter or fighters in my recent memory. Just a shame.

:patsch Vitali was mandatory for Lewis. Lewis was scheduled to fight him in Dec '03. Ali never fought anyone same size as Wlad or Vitali.

Wlad did clean up the division. I don't see how you can argue against that. And what is the most amazing he did it after his boxing career was on a brink of being ended and he turned it around in the most dramatic fashion. Being down 3 times a fight that would mean the end of the career, overcoming that and then winning the next 12 title fight with 11 KOs - if that is not a Cinderella story I don't know what is.

They aren't black. All the good black athletes are playing baseball. Whoops. I mean football, besides the most important position on the field of course.

Not really, the Klitschko's really are one of a kind..or two, if you choose to distinguish them as seperate entities.

I don't see anyone coming through that can match their phyiscal prowess and ability.

If you have a look through the top heavyweight rankings, most of them are still average sized heavies

i agree that they are h.o.f worthy...but.... they are superheavy weights and boxing must make another divison to suit guys like this... yeah ok exrta divison but scrap some or merge some of the boxing bodies way to many governing bodies

If the Klits are 'the new breed' does that make Valuev 'the next generation' ?

Monsters who move like middleweights, funniest thing Ive ever read on ESB.
