Froch vs Calzaghe @ 168 who wins?

yeah but be realistic,Joe Calzaghe at his best would beat any Froch whatever good he is,you must realize that.

Still in fairness, he gets pwned and still comes back for another go, only to be pwned again. Got to admire that spirit

Calzaghe would clearly beat Froch for a wide UD.
I like Froch but look at how he was being out boxed by J Taylor for long periods.

Froch was never at a level to fight with Calzaghe. Froch was a domestic fighter when Calzaghe was a world champ and Calzaghe was at LHW before Froch had even fought for a world title. In fact Calzaghe had fought what he said was going to be his last fight before Froch won a world title.

Froch has started to build a good resume but even that is heavily overhyped and overated. Look at who Froch beat and when.

- Pascal who wasnt even a top 10 rated SMW. Pascal has gone on to win a title at LHW but hadnt done much at all when Froch beat him.

- Taylor just one fight past being beaten by Pavlik and 2 fights past being KOd by Pavlik, yet was beating Froch before Froch pulled off a sensational last minute stoppage.

- Dirrell. What has Dirrell done to be considered this tough challenge. Its just Dirrell is a recognised American name.

- Kessler beat Froch when coming off a loss.

- Abraham who Froch beat when coming off a clear loss.

Froch has built a fair resume, but alot is based on fans recognising names. Its a long way off of Calzaghes SMW resume. Consider that even lesser known names on Calzaghes resume like Reid & Woodhall have done alot more at SMW than Dirrell, AA and Pascal. In fact Veit has done more at SMW than those fighters. Also Calzaghe beat an undefeated Kessler whilst Froch lost to an unwell Kessler coming off a loss.

Froch is a good world class SMW but Calzaghe was a clear class above

Calzaghe ran away from Hopkins II, Froch, Dawson, Pavlik, and many other upcoming LHW and SMW's.

You claiming I am new to boxing, I already made you my son on this forum along side with bailey who I adopted after I pwned him continously over the last year or two.

Anyway man, whether the fight would have meant anything or not (IMO It would have been the biggest all british clash in the SMW division since Benn - Eubank), this fight could have been made but Calzaghe looked like the one who didnt want it.

Froch seemed like he wanted it but Calzaghe didnt look as if he wanted it.

Calzaghe vs Froch was feasible, it could have been made. But Calzaghe said:

"I wouldn't fight the guy..." - Calzaghe didnt want it.

 

Explain what the high workrate flurry of slaps + Southpaw Calzaghe does that is similat to Jab and left hook Taylor.

Taylor has more power than Calzaghe, Calzaghe outworks while JT outboxes.

Froch was still more marketable and a better fighter with a better amatuer pedigree than 90% of Calzaghe's opposition.

So was about 90% of Calzaghe opposition. Calzaghe didnt want it.

Within 2 years of that defeat Pascal showed the world he is a good fighter.

Going into Kessler's back yard and going toe to toe in a close fight is commendable regardless. More manly than anything Calzaghe attempted. Calzaghe thought he was a gangsta for going into Mario veits back yard.

Both Abraham and Froch were coming of losses. Froch 120 - 108 on Abraham was far more impressive than 95% of what Calzaghe has done.
