What will you guys be watching on March 12th? I hate when this happens and one of the things people with a say in boxing should change. It happens so often, but so hard to control when you have all these egos and selfish people(promoters and networks) making these decisions. The Cotto fight? Martinez fight? Im having trouble deciding if to attend the Martinez fight down in Ct or watch Cotto on PPV?
Go watch the Martinez fight. YOu'll be able to be there live. Don't you want to see Martinez live in real life one time?
I would like to see him live, but im trying to decide if I want to save money and hopefully head down to see the Margarito/Cotto fight if it happens in MSG or even Las Vegas this summer. The Martinez fight will be nice, but being in the Casinos which means more money out of my pocket will be spent and never missing a Cotto fight since his ESPN days is hard to decide...
It shouldn't be a question, Martinez is fighting a live elite fighter in Dzinziruk, whereas Cotto is facing a shot recycled Mayorga as your typical Top Rank opponent. If it makes any difference, HBO choose Maravilla over Cotto, and for a very good reason, they want competitive fights and as far as they can tell Arum can go and place his BS match-ups on CBS, it's quality that matters. Not sure if your trip will be cheap, but if you have a chance to see Martinez in your lifetime, you should go for it.
Martinez without a doubt. I like Shane as Pac's opponent more than I like Mayorga as Cotto's to be honest.. and I'm not a big fan of Pac/Mosley. I actually think Dzinziruk has a fair chance to pull of the upset (No bet though, BigBone)
For relevancy watch Martinez/Dziniruk For entertainment watch Cotto/Mayorga Anyone who has actually seen a Dziniruk fight knows just how much of a stinker he is, but he does have skill.
Maybe you should figure out how much $ would be spent total at each event and go with the more economical choice. Both guys are fighters worth watching.
I don't hav a choice...it all depends what Supersport decides to broadcast here, I'm hoping its Cotto tho (as much as I love Martinez [no homo]) Iv never missed a Cotto fight since
I will probably watch the more "significant" fight live, that being Martinez-Dizindruk. But I fully expect the Cotto-Mayorga fight to be the more entertaining fight. Why I lean to the more significant.....I can't really say accept I like to support the "Important" fights no matter the contrasting styles because I think it is equally important to the sport as entertaining brawls.
I'm watching the Mayorga/Cotto fight. I'm boricua, but this Mayorga guy is a character. I actually even put up a bet that he'd win so I have to watch this.
