4 pages, the blame is already on Mitchell, but not a single source/article which confirms or gives reasons for why this is off. But even then, it doesn't surprise me that much because it always did sound too good to be true. If the reasons are to build the fight, then I'm not too upset with that. In fact, I'd prefer it that way. Give Mitchell a chance to get back on his feet properly.
Absolutely can't blame Kev if he's got a injury or the deal isn't right. More details will come out soon, no point jumping to conclusions or judging anyone now.
''Bottled'' is a strong term, but would you be suprised if Mitchell did pull out? You use the Katsidis fight to solidify your argument, but I think that could be the main reason he pulled out, if in fact he did. After such a beating, it's understandable that he wouldn't want such a tough fight as his next bout.
Kevin Mitchell this week "I'm in a good place at the moment," "Just because i got beat in my last fight and have been out for 12 months that doesn't mean anything to me, I want something big to step back into like when i took the Prescott fight coming off a hand injury and thats what i wanna do with this fight" "Murray is a perfect fight. Domestically it is one of the biggest fights out there. It will be a big showdown. "All my fans from West Ham will be there, and I'm sure Murray will bring a few as well. "It will be perfect. Murray is looking for a big name. Let's get it on." if you can find me a quote from Murray let me know....and then remeind me why your convinced Mitchell has "bottled it"???
Did Kev say that or was it a Warren press release? Just curious, as I said no point jumping to conclusions, and I doubt Kev fears anyone, although there are worse guys to apprehensive about facing than John Murray.
maybe it was just excuses but Kevin has said he has a **** poor training camp and he still went through with the fight. doesn't sound like a bottler to me.
Another kick in the nuts for boxing regardless of who's to blame. What a joke. The sport's just a ****ing sham these days.
really suprised this is off as sky where allready talking it up last night mitchell could eally blow his career by pissing of sky and warren again
but you can see Mitchell as a bottle job??? you never no whats happend. its most likley down to money. Perhaps John or Kevin have found out what the other is being paid and they might no be happy about it.
Yup I would be surprised. That radio interview last week (which rob has just posted) convinced me 100% that he not only wanted the fight, but that he was ready for it. Lets put it this way, with a **** training camp, he turned up against Kats. Whereas it was rumoured that Murray turned down a fight with Ortiz. If either has a history of 'bottling' (which I don't think either have), it's Murray.
