is that the date he announced it? fair enough. but if you were following boxing at the time it was pretty well known that calzaghe was done after the rjj fight:

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2008/nov/22/boxing-joe-calzaghe

"shookness"? you are so ******ed you are making up words.

this sums it up perfectly. you weren't following boxing at the time & all of your knowledge comes from wiki-****ing-pedia. :patsch

    :patsch

what does this even mean? it just proves you are aware you can't win a debate on boxing with me; so you just start chatting **** about "adoption" or whatever. bra-****ing-vo.

yes. froch was such a huge name that while calzaghe was facing the consensus no.1 at 175 & p4p no.3; carl was facing the mighty albert rybacki for peanuts on the undercard of witter/bradley.

froch was trying to make a name for himself by piggy-backing off the fame of a proven fighter.

Joe Calzaghe says there is no chance of him

to fight WBC super-middleweight king Carl Froch.
    "

hey...maybe froch should call out tyson, ali & lewis...then when they say "dude...i'm retired"...ignorant ****s like you could say they ducked him.

repeating yourself cos you have nothing of value to say?

calzaghe/froch was not a realistic fight at the time. if you had been following boxing at the time you would know that. but you weren't. so you don't.

Seriously sway stop trying to talk sense to this guy, he is living in a dream world. His flakey arguments have been destroyed by pretty much everyone on this thread.

    calzaghe by wide UD.
would be similar to froch v arthur, only the boot would be on the other foot.

You are clearly one of the most ****ed up and delusional people ever to grace this forum. The SMW division was a weak pos for 90% of Joe's shitty career. "Accomplishing" something at SMW didn't really mean much buddy. Froch is facing real living world class fighters every fight. His win against Taylor is better than all but two of Calzaghe's wins and argueably as good as his wins against Hopkins and Kessler. Froch has already surpassed Joe in resume, manliness, and the balls department.

Now here is delusional or just plain stupid old Robert.
I like Froch but look at the victories as they happend instead of through hype.
So you say Froch is fighting real living world class fighters every time and I agree he is fighting good fighters but lets look closely.

Tell me Robert. What were Pascals, Dirrells and Abrahams 3 best wins leading to Froch. Pascal wasnt even a top 10 SMW. Abraham coming off a clear defeat. Lost to Kessler.
What was Taylors best SMW victory? Froch was behind against Taylor.
You can see that these victories although good, have been built into something they are not.

So was beating Taylor one fight removed from a beating and 2 fights removed from a KO loss better than all but 2 of Calzaghes victories . NO. Taylor hadnt proven much at SMW other than he could beat a ruined version of Lacy and get up from a KD to do so.
Thats not a better SMW victory than Reid, Woodhall, Veit 2, Lacy, Kessler, Eubank.

Please answer these questions Robert. You normally hide when questions are posed. I will have to rename you as RobertBJ, for Robert the bottle job if you carry on being unable to answer and avoiding answers.

So lets hear it then Robert the 3 best victories of the fighters leading up to Froch

Eubank was shot and the Taylor victory was better than every fight you have listed aside from Kessler. Name Lacy's best win in his entire career troll. Like I've said and like everyone else knows Joe had three decent world class victories in his entire career. Out of all his defenses a few more fit into an average category. It's important to remember that Calzaghe wasn't defending a legitimate title for most of the beginning of his "reign". The WBO title was not recognized and even after it gained parity with the big three, its championship policy is laughable considering the defenses they sanctioned. After Joe finally rose to the top rather than fight the best he fought a couple of past their prime name fighter and then left the sport.

I have to say bailey is no longer tha #1 ***zaghi, swayz has taken over emphatically with his latest nut gurgling of Calzaghe by not admiting Calzaghe retired on the 5th of Febuary 2009 even though I posted substantial proof and Joe Calzaghe himself would have admitted it.

So far in 2011 swayz is holding the #1 spot, but there is still enough time for you son to make a comeback.

Anyway the next man to try and justify my next post would have a good claim to the #1 ***zaghi spot.

Which one of you Calzaghe nutthugger of the year competitors (Hannah Montana, bailey and Swayz) will attempt to justify this and cement your place in the Calzaghe nutthugger hall of fame:

    Calzaghe ducking Froch talk:-

Shouldnt that be a reason to fight him, if you dont like someone that should be a reason for you to beat him up. Calzaghe obviously trying to ***** out here.

Here is some more ***** Calzaghe hiding behind some hard man talk:-

Here is Calzaghe saying Froch has nothing to offer:-

So according to Calzaghe Mger Mkrtchyan had more to offer, and so did Ashira, Manfredo and Tocker Pudwill. Blatent ***** talk from the Welsh Coward.

Here is some Calzaghe moaning like a *****:-

Here is some Calzaghe trying to change the fight topic into a homo topic by saying he is interested in Froch's mouth and Calzaghe didnt say No Homo:-

There was no need for that gay talk. Calzaghe tried to flirt and change the subject.

Here is some more clear cut ***** ducking talk coming from Calzaghe's mouth:

If it aint clear that Calzaghe ducked Froch after reading that, then you probably just have Calzaghe's balls in ur mouth. But despite the ducking talk Calzaghe still tries to act macho and thrash talk:-

Then why didnt you fight him

    Some more ***** talk:-

That is on the same level as Mayweather saying he dont have the urge

    Froch responds by using logic:-

Mick Hennesy on the Calzaghe ducking Froch saga:-

Carl Froch gets too much of himself and thinks he frightend the **** out of Calzaghe:-

A few more ***** Calzaghe quotes:-

End this whole **** with a Froch quote:-

every one of those articles is from after calzaghe's last fight. so all they prove is that AFTER calzaghe RETIRED he didn't want to fight a guy no-one had heard of (froch couldn't even get on uk television on ANY station when he faced jermain taylor in the biggest fight of his career...what a megastar). if that is what you are trying to prove: then well done. everyone agrees that AFTER calzaghe RETIRED he didn't see any point in fighting carl froch...who didn't even start to make a name for himself until AFTER calzaghe RETIRED.

& it's not like calzaghe retired out of the blue either:

before the kessler fight he said:

"I'm giving myself a 12-month span to keep at the top and then I'll let it go. There'll be no comebacks."

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/7064179.stm

    &

"I know I don't have too many fights left, maybe a couple more after this, which is why I only want big fights from here on in. I could move up to light-heavyweight but it depends where the big fights can be made."

before the b-hop fight he said:

“I have got two fights left - tops,”

before he faced rjj he said:

"This is it for me,After this, I'll have achieved everything I want to achieve and then it will be time to call it a day."

in other news: there have been quite a few posts on this page conclusively proving EVERYTHING you have said to be untrue. are you going to "man up" & address them or continue with your blatant ducking/resorting to insults cos you know you are wrong? :huh

Calzaghe too fast but Froch does good too...... Fight would be competetive but Calzaghe wins convincing decision. maybe 8-4 or 8-3-1 type of fight.
