Will HBO announcers say that this might be the last Top Rank fight on the network?

Since Arum is no longer putting up with all the Al Haymon love campaign on HBO, and moved his fighters to Showtime. Will Bang Bang Lampley or Fish Face Kellerman make any statements about Top Rank moving off HBO?

    No

Greenburg has said he feels this is only temporary. If Pac/Mosley doesnt do any outstanding numbers Im sure they feel they can bring back Pac and the rest of Top Rank.

It will be hard if Pac vs Mosley does less than stellar numbers. I have read that Fight Camp 360: Pac v Mosley will air on CBS. You know how many old people watch non cable channels? Old fogies will shell out $$ if the production level is off the radar.

    Why would they mention it?

    They rarely discuss promoter politics.

Yes but there is rarely a boxer like Manny. A boxer that HBO had a big hand in building / promoting that all of a sudden gets pulled away to their rival network. The biggest name in the sport is gone, and maybe the 2nd biggest Pinoy star will be gone from HBO after Saturday night.

That would mean that Al Haymon & Bob Arum would have worked ($$$) things out.

Not necessarily, HBO and Top Rank value the $$ above anything else. This is a great deal for top Rank (going to SHO), but I am sure they will be on HBO eventually.

I hope Arum decides to stay on Showtime for a while. I mean Golden Girl promotions & Al Haymon Ent is running HBO. Let Arum run ShowTime for a while.

Well Cotto vs Mayorga was originally scheduled for HBO, they even made a build up video or promo with the HBO logo on it. They since have made a re-made the trailer / promo for Showtime. So I would not be surprised if Top Rank moves the fight to Showtime.

Arum taking his fights to Showtime is not yet a permanent move. HBO didn't want Cotto-Mayorga, and the Showtime deal for Pac-Mosley was too sweet to be passed up. Hopefully if the move goes well all it does is give Arum more leverage with HBO for future matchups.
