Taylor post-Chavez was a champ at 147. He beats Corrales here, whose only fight at 147 was a wide UD loss to Clottey.

Taylor wins at 140 as well.

I think Corrales got less effective the more he moved up in weight, besides Taylor is just a tier above him.. Corrales was too easy to hit and against the amazingly fast Taylore he takes a lot of lightning in this one. Corrales would have his moments and might even put a scare into Meldrick once or twice, but over all he gets lit up like a christmas tree and stopped in 8 to 10 rounds.

Taylor takes this one, Corrales had problems with fast hands (Mayweather). Taylor is even faster than Mayweather, infact some call him having the fastest hands in boxing ever.

Pre or post Chavez Taylor? Pre Chavez, I take Taylor, post I take Chico. Taylor was never the same after Chavez.

IMO, Taylor would have overwhelmed Chico with his blindingly fast flurries and would have KOed him out, eventually.

Why do people say the post-Chavez version of Taylor loses to Corrales?

Post-Chavez Taylor fought at 147, and won a world title there, beating some decent champs/contenders. What did Corrales ever do at 147?

The Corrales who fought Clottey at 147 was MORE declined than the Taylor who fought at 147 (up until Espana).

Meldrick was a different level fighter than Corrales. Meldrick would stop him in about 7 or 8.
