    So you think if Couture had started in his early 20's he'd still be going strong now??? You f'n '****. And how odd that despite their ages, Randy and Brock got KTFO and submitted much quicker than Fedor :deal

    Very idiotic points you made there!!!!!!

    How many combat fights in total has Brock has, something like 7 in total? how about Fedor if you combine his Judo, Sambo, Combat Sambo and MMA fights, maybe something like 100 plus in total?

    As for running against top competition name one other HW fighter with as many top ten wins!!!!! Go on name one thats still relevant today.

    Lesnar beat Herring, but not as convincingly as Fedor did. Couture, who Nog beat (someone else Fedor had already beat) and Velasquez's best wins are against Nog (Fedor beat him) and Brock (already established as not having a, ahem, 'new breed' resume)

    Go figure.

    There's nothing wrong with Fedor's size. Yes he's undersized but he was incredibly effective.
    Posters talk about these giant fighters as though they are the norm. Fact is there has been NO dominant fighter in this sport in the 260lb range other than a prime Mark Kerr back in the Vale Tudo days and he was a drug addict.
    Silva is an Acromegalic giant. He has great BJJ and VERY heavy hands. He would cause ANYBODY problems. To blithlely explain away a guy like Silva who is VERY unique as there is no other fighter past or present at his level in MMA as an Acromegaly sufferer, is too dam naive to even warrant an explanation.

    The Key is really how long Fedor has been a professional.....11 years, and was the main man for 7 years. Its a long time, he has taken on a vast array of fighters and the wear and tear will takes it toll. The motivation wont be the same, it natural to be as animalistic as dynamic as you were on the way up.

    Fedor even though the same weight, looks to me to have lost a bit of muscle size, and replaced it with extra fat.


    All in all, when you add everything together it was just a matter of time that we saw Fedor lose. In fact his losses have shown how good he is, he wasnt embarresed and still gave Werdum and Silva tough times and wasnt exposed like Brock Lesnar was.

    Early days yet but the historical rankings of the heavyweights are thus-

    1. Fedor Emileneko
    2. Nogueira
    3. M. Cro Cop
    4. Igor Vovchanchyn
    5. Mark Kerr
    6. Randy Couture



    Future greats that could be inducted - F. Werdum Alistair Overeem, Velasquez, Dos Santos, Silva, Cormier...

    Where do you see Coleman, Fry, Shamrock and Barnett in that generation Black? Just interested. 1st three are from the earlier days and Josh is obviously still fighting but part of the PRIDE wave of Heavys

    I think Fedor should cash out by joining the UFC to fight guys like Lesnar and Mir. He'd make some good money and won't be overwhelmed by the level of competition. Of course the typical cynic will say this will never happen. But I say money talks. I never thought Kimbo would work for Dana White, but it still happened. Even at this point in his career, Fedor is exponentially better than Kimbo. I can see Fedor beating Carwin, Mir, and Lesnar. Not a bad way to end a career afterward.

    And Fedor is already RICH. He doesn't need the UFC's slave wage. He is a 20% owner in M-1 and has been on million pound contracts for some time now. Why would he join the UFC for their minimum when this is what Dana said he was now worth?

    how is it that i'm a troll bc i point out the facts. his age has nothing to do with it look at bernard hopkins and yes everyone says boxing is worse on the brain and body and he is still going strong against top competition. face it hes just the most over rated fighter ever in boxing or mma fighter period fedor great fighter but did not fight top competition.
