I'll say Duran as well, but people who say it would be by "murder" are probably just Floyd haters, in terms of skill Mayweather can hang competitively with anyone, it wouldnt be the destruction some of you seem to think it is imo

The Floyd that destroyed Corrales, would beat Duran in my opinion.
That was pretty much close to perfection.

The majority of people will say Duran now, but ask this question in 15 years time and it will be a lot closer I think

I'm NOT a Floyd lover..I do appreciate his skills in the ring though.
I love Duran...my Pops favorite boxer.

But honestly I think Floyd is unbeatable at lightweight. I think Duran would have lost a decision....close decision.

  8. im a big fan of floyd i think at lightweight he is virtually unbeatable but Duran might bring to much pressure for floyd to handle

  9. Nothing like the use of the term 'hater' to reduce the intellectual level of a debate and just dismiss a point of view that doesn't agree with your own without providing reasons. Seriously though, this question doesn't even warrant debate, anyone picking mayweather is an idiot.

Very silly to read things like this when he only had 4 fights at the weight. Duran dominated his very competitive division for 12 defenses against top level comp and amassed 60+ fights... Does it make any sense to call someone invincible at a weight in comparison? one controversial decision against JLC, dominating a rematch and then guys like n'dou and sosa isnt the same.

    Why ???
    Based on what fight ?
    Could you explain that ?
Honestly, in my opinion, Floyd doesn´t looked good against Castillo I and II, by far the best opponent he faced at that weight, that fact explain everything......
No comparison between Floyd´s level of oposition and Duran´s.......

That oughta be the question I ask you. Mayweather had 4 fights at Lightweight. One of those he arguably lost (in fact most believe he did), two of them he looked relatively unimpressive, and the one fight he actually looked good was against a bum. Then again, given your interpretation of Mayweather's Lightweight credentials, you probably believe N'Dou to have been a legitimately dangerous challenger. I mean, he had a lot of KO's. He had to be, right?

    :patsch

You don't have to agree with me, but you can't deny Floyd's resume at ligthweight one of the best

manfredy, hernandez, augustus, corrales, castillo, chavez, corley, and gatti. And he won all of those easily except for the first castillo fight. He outclasses them all. I think hes unbeatable at ligthweight..really do.

I'm having trouble understanding why you're combining his SFW and LW resume. They are not the same.

And even then, that wouldn't be one of the best LW resumes.
