    from F*ght News

"Promoter Bob Arum announced the PPV undercard for the May 7 Manny Pacquiao vs. Shane Mosley megafight during a press conference today in New York City. The line-up includes two world title fights. WBC lightweight champion Humberto Soto defends against Urbano Antillon is a rematch of their 2010 fight of the year candidate, and WBO super bantamweight champion Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. defends against three-time world champion Jorge Arce. The final spot is being held for the return of Kelly Pavlik.
About 230 tickets remain for the clash at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Pacquiao remains a -700 favorite, while Shane is +500."#

Pacquiao, Antillon v Sotot (great first fight), the always entertaining arce and the return of Pavlik.

Arum is stacking this card because of the CBS involvement probably. Thats a value for money PPV imo

WV2-Arce will be very one-sided, two mismatches, probably three depending on Pavlik's fight. Not really ''stacking''.

Its stacking compared to the usual american one sided main event preceded by 5 prospects blowing away guys who dont belong there that we have been fed for the last few years

    :huh

Ok, so you think Pacquiao-Mosley, WV2-Arce and Pavlik vs some no-hoper are good fights? Just because they're bundled together doesn't make them good. The GBP card for JMM-Diaz II was much better.

I don't particularly like WV2-Arce I think it will be a mismatch. Arce is a one time 108lb fighter who recently has been dominated by Vic and Mijares and got beat by a very poor fighter in Nonqanyi and that was at 115, I really do not see how this will be a competitive fight and I expect to see a one sided beat down.
Soto-Antillon is a good fight but Soto is having a tune up for god knows what reason, so I'm not 100% sure that fight will be happening. And the Pavlik fight will depend on who he is facing.

WV2-Arce is essentially a prospect blowing away somebody who doesn't belong there. Pavlik is a former champion blowing away somebody who doesn't belong there and Pacquiao-Mosley is the P4P#1 fighting somebody who doesn't belong there. They're still **** fights, just **** fights at a higher level.

If Pavlik fights someone like Vera it'll be a good fight whilst it lasts.

    Berto TKO Hernandez 1 ................ pot , kettle , black !!!!

    Marquez - Katsidis
    Berto - Hernandez
    Campbell - Estrada
    Caballero - Litzua

    Compared too

    Pacquiao - Mosley
    Soto - Antillon 2
    Vasquez Jr - Arce
    Pavlik - TBC

IMO TR's card is a lot better for many reasons

 way to **** on my parade pal

im still going to enjoy the antillon soto big time, pacquiao has beat the **** outa his previous 5 or so opponents, there is still something good about watching him do it. if pavlik gets through his problems it will still be interesting to see what hes got to offer because he always is in exciting fights. As for the WV2 v Arce, its still a largly untested novice against a tough mexican and although he might clearly lose, arce will be game for it

    Sorry? I said JMM-Diaz II, not JMM-Katsidis.

JMM-Diaz II- Rematch of the previous Fight Of The Year
Pirog-Jacobs- Two young, undefeated prospects taking each other on for a world title
Linares-Juarez- Young fighter, former 'world' champion whose only defeat was being caught cold in the first round taking on the divisions gatekeeper known for giving the best at least a tough fight
Guerrero-Casamayor- Young fighter, two-weight champ, potentially the divisions best against one of the best Cuban pros ever.

    Plus Bika-Mendy

Now, forgetting how those fights transpired, can you honestly tell me Top Rank's card is better?

My Bad , mis read your post ................

Im gonna be completley honest with you now and say head to head there is nothing seperating them cards , that particular GB card had more depth , but ultimatley i think this TR card has more substance !!!

Like i say , both very solid cards IMO
