Who the **** said Amir Khan was'nt box office.

He's the biggest fighter in the country, i'm begining to think he's even bigger than Ricky Hatton.

David Haye and Audley Harrison are second behind him.

    Active fighters that is....

I think Amir Khans next fight will do over 2million on Sky Box Office, even though Mccloskey is abit of a "No Mark".

But the Irish will support this guy, i was speaking to a Irish guy on the train just this week......"About the fight".

Oh and also, all the racist **** "No Marks" will buy the fight aswell.

It's been over done and for every good one there are 2 or 3 that are utter shite. As a Boxing fan I find it damn frustrating to watch so much money be pumped into Prizefighter, because it clearly takes away budget from regular Boxing and no matter what that twat Hearn says Prizefighter is not the future and it is not good for the Sport, it was a short term gimme that has had it's time and should not be done more than 4 times a year.

His PPV Figures are known to be ****, he and his team made a bad decision he was thrown in way to early. Nobody other then an established champions should be on PPV not a contender or prospect. A report on Yahoo said his figures are generally around 150,000

Even though we will never know because Sky never official announce figures, I can guarantee that fight will do no more then 250,000. Haye-Harrison did 600-800,000 (depending on the source) and that was with two well known fighters and a hell of a lot of hype.

Ricky Hatton-Pacquiao did 400,000. Seriously no chance that Khan-McCloskey does a million.

This fight goes over the Million Mark, believe me.

Amir Khan is as big as Audley Harrison and David Haye put together. Where talking about at kid, that was getting the Nation to skip Corrie Street and Eastanders to watch him fight.

Paul Mccloskey is Irish, and i think the Irish people will back this kid big time.

I think this fight, has a chance to do over 1 Million.

Trust me Prima this fight will do well but it will not do 1 million, if it does that would be a bigger shock then Reading announcing the signing of Gareth Bale tomorrow, simply put not going to happen.

Thanks I do my best to keep it up to date, I check theboxingtruth viewing figures always interesting. ESPN used to offer $25-35,000 for a fee but that has gone up this season to around $50,000 and it looks like they are more then getting a decent return on that investment, I would give American figures but finding them is a lot harder then finding the British Figures.

American Boxing definitely has an advantage over European Boxing in that Casino's are very active in offering decent sized licensing fees for hosting Boxing, sadly that has turned into a double edged sword recently as some promoters (cough Gary Shaw) have become reliant on the licensing fee and no longer promote.

I wonder if the site fee situation would ever happen in this country?

What i take from this thread is that.

Amir Khan is the biggest fighter in Britain, and he is british boxing.

Him and guys like Audley Harrison & David Haye are running british boxing.

    These guys dictate the sport.
