    Donaire knocks out Montiel in the 2nd round!

    Nonito Donaire is the now WBC/WBO BW champion after he knocked out Ferdnando Montiel with an :::E:X:p:L:O:S:I:V:E::: left hand counter to the head. Donaire, much like Montiel last year vs. Hasegawa, risked to take his opponent's best shot to deliver his own power punch with lethal accuracy. It was a very heavy knockdown and somehow the true Mexican warrior stood up as the referee, clearly out of control, let the fight on which was a terrible mistake, but luckily it didn't end up with a brutal KO as after some punishment the 3rd man finally stopped the bout.

    For Donaire, this could be his only bantamweight title fight as he plans to move up and capture a SBW belt - him vs. Nishioka would be awesome - whereas Montiel, if he's OK and not heavily affected by the brutal punch - might try to get a 122lbs belt himself and become the 1st Mexican 4-division champion.

    I wouldn't mind a Nishioka-Donaire, Shimoda-Montiel HBO doubleheader, would you?

    I had a dream last night about this one.

    It was a 12 round war which Donaire won in controversial fashion. They were both battered and bruised.

    Usually this damn dreams are pretty right on. Now idk how im gonna bet.

    This is an honest-to-Sugar legacy fight for two terrific fighters. That gives Boxed Ears a very big hard-on (very big, as compared to his own other ones).

    same here.

    although I think Donaire by KO is also possible. Montiel UD is the outcome that would surprise me the most.
