Haye V Povetkin could be on? Negotiations apparently taking place

Could this fight actually go ahead? would be like some kinda eliminator for Wlad/Vitali? since Chagaev may not be able to get the fight due to his health concerns, these are the two top guys in the division aside from the Klits.

Is this a genuine potential matchup, or is it more hot air, to keep the Haye brand in the heavyweight mix?

 

If so ... I hope it isn't a soap opera ... an endless saga of negotiations.

 

Well Povetkin is with Saulerland, fight should be easy to make according to the article. I know, i'm fed up with the soap opera. This would actually for once be a meaningful fight for both these guys. It's the next best matchup for them, after a Klit.

 

I thought this would be Haye's next fight since they are reluctant to face Chagaev because of his medical condition. Boytsov is ranked after Povetkin in the WBA ratings, but, is fresh off a hand injury and will not be motivated to fight the WBA champ at this time

Well then enough with the talk, Hope they get this signed and sealed, cos quite frankly, we need to see something from both these guys. Winner deserves to fight a Klit and if Haye adds Povetkin to his resume it's a big win.

 

I could see this fight happening. Povetkin is extremely easy to hit and haye will love to exploit that.

 

It isn't that the Chag fight wont happen because of Chag's medical condition.

It is not happening because Haye doesn't want it to happen.

Chagaev has fought plenty of guys, the medical condition has never been a problem. No problem for Valuev, no problem for Wlad. Magically it is a problem for Haye? **** off.

Similarly, you know that Haye wont fight Povetkin, who at this stage is as dangerous as Chagaev is. Why not? Because Haye has no intention of fighting Povetkin.

 

Haye is easy to hit also. What we don't know is, can Povetkin take a big punch without folding? We know Haye can't, but Povetkin isn't a big puncher anyway, and especially coming off a hand injury....he might hesitate to throw it 100%.

Definitely an interesting and legitimate matchup, and a much needed step up in opposition for both.

 

Yeah it was no problem for him when he was wearing the strap, but it sure was a big deal when it came time for the rematch to regain it. Valuev had to have Sauerland buy it for him because he knew he couldn't beat him. He can **** off too!

Since Povetkin is with Sauerland, and Sauerland has the option on Haye....I'd imagine Sauerland wants the fight in Germany, and that might not set well with Haye. I'm skeptical this fight will happen, there's too many reason for it NOT to happen :roll:

 

Best career HW fight for Haye it would be. Probably the best opponent available. Haye redeem himself a little.

I would welcome this fight. I'd favor Haye to win but Povetkin has a decent chance too.
