Who will be the first mexican to get the 4th title at the 4th weight class

I think Marquez and Montiel both have a legit shot at this.

 

why you take offense to my opinion, not agreeing with yours doesnt mean hating.

Neither barrera or morales are at elite level anymore. They cant compete with the best. Now if they both fight for a vacant title like somebody suggested then they might get it. But that wouldnt be legit it would be just a paper championship.

Marquez or montiel still have a chance to do it but i just dont see marquez beating any of the 140pound champions. He'll get beat by bradley and khan or any or the top 140 guys.

That leaves you with montiel who i think has an outside chance if they pair him up with the right opponent. He might beat vazquez jr who i think is the weakest of all the jr featherweights. But it'll be a longshot because montiel is too short and he's not carrying his power all the way from 112 to 122 where boxers are a lot stronger.

Morales already should be, I thought he beat Diaz, fkn piece of **** judges.

 

IMO Marquez has the best chance. Morales is unlikely to get past Maidana and the fight is not going for a legit world title belt, so he'd still have to beat Khan & I don't see him getting past both. Now if Barrera catches Soto on a bad day, he could be the one.

 

Win or lose, montiel is going up to super bantam, and he has a big big chance to get that 4th title.

It may be even better when old guys like JMM, Barrera, Montiel and Morales all fight in one card, all in championship fights. Damn! Cinco de Mayo Rumble!

 

Montiel.

JMM is a top act. But i dont see him winning against the current major belt holders of 140 - besides he got his chance when offered the Khan fight a year ago, but rejected.

 

Course it doesn't, you'll be indirectly crediting the greatest fighter of this generation :deal

Here is a thread asking who will be the first mexican 4 weight titlist, a distinction not yet achieved by 1 of the most dominant nationalities in boxing. Yet some people still fail to see how being an 8 division titlist is special.

As for the thread, JMM has a good chance at 140 but the guy seems afraid to move up. Bad memories.

And BTW multiple world champs per weight div has been around for ages, its not just for this day and age. IBF/WBC/WBA has long been recognised as legit belts and the WBO has been legit since the days Eubank held it.

 

If not JMM, i doubt any of them

I am sure Marquez can handpick another guy to beat. Barrera and Morales could have had they been younger. They are much greater than Marquez.
