In 2005, Soto won the vacant Interim WBC (126lbs) Featherweight Title, by beating Rocky Juarez, because In Jin Chi was on medical leave cause of an injury and was unable to defend against Juarez.

Soto later won the vacant WBC (130lbs.) Super-Featherweight Title that had been abandoned by the scared Pacquiao, cause Pac was too afraid to defend it against mandatory challenger, Soto.

Then Soto won the vacant WBC (135lbs) Lightweight title that had been abandoned by the scared Edwin Valero, cause Valero was too scared to defend it against Soto.

and now, Soto will be moving up to 140lbs, to get become the 1st Mexican to win a record 4th divisional world title.
Lets hope that Amir, Bradley, and the rest of the 140lbers dont duck Soto the way the 126-135lbers did.

Very good fighter but he never was a legit titleholder at 126. Interim doesn't count.

i wish him luck in this but i do feel hes too weak for 140
but barrera missed his chance when chavez pulle dout of there lightweight title fight with a shoulder injury which of course gave us the brilliant juarez fight
and morales beat diaz as far as im concerned
also iv been watchin the barrera career set again lately and got reminded how no champion at 115 or 118 would fight him

Wishful thinking on Soto's part. It'll be fun watching him try though.

Khan, Bradley & Alexander all want to escape from 140 to 147 because of this legend

They don't have any vacant titles at 140 at the moment so I think Soto is SOL. Unless the WBC invents him a title.

SOto is a good fighter but seems to be slightly on the downside.. I dont see him beating any of the top JW.
