British Boxing for me has to be the most unique circuit in the sport. The fact we have the greatest national title aswell as the unique chracther's we've produced. The ring entrances to the Promoters to the fighters and fans.

I've come across some real characther's at Am and Pro level and watching this Interview with Barry Mcguigan and John Rawling and Duke McKenzie on Chris Eubank made me wonder......what are your great boxing stories.

Anything from Pro to Am. Childhood days to now.

Could even be a video of pro's talking about other fighters.

I always find this sorta thing interesting.

My one is brief and i have mentioned before in other threads. I went into a gym and the trainer held up one pad i said ''where's the other pad?....:blood'' to which the trainer replied ''He only has one head!!!'' After one session i promptly left and realised why a club that was one of oldest hadn't produced a champion in years .

I'm not in the sport. The only story I have is about my mate. He's on here called the chosen.

We were at the enzo-afolabi fight. A good few rounds had passed he gets up to go for a drink. "don't risk it mate" I said to him. He replies "enzo has controlled this fight it'll be a points decision you mark my words"

No sooner had he left the seating area ola throws a huge punch to end proceedings. He comes back up in a state of absolute shock "i've just missed a knockout haven't i?" he asks.

Quality moment i'll never forget and one that really highlights how just one punch can change the course of a fight.

We never seem to have the rivalries in British boxing anymore where they actually fight Hatton Witter Harrison Hide was also one and Groves Degale could go that way :-(

Funny thing is actually speaking of Ola about a month or two after i was with mate at Floyd's public session at Peacock gym and like many was stuck outside...so i see this fella walk past and i went to my mate ''that's Ola init..''....all of a sudden the fella turns round and goes ''Yeah it's Ola how's it going?'' so i jumped off wall and had brief chat and pics with the man. What a lovely fella and Duke Mckenzie as well...you can knock him as a commentator but as a man he's a gent.

Nice to hear that about DeGale heard a few stories of him being nice lad. Heard he still puts money back into his club and other things.

Something a certain British ''World Champion'' doesn't do......:-(

Yeah Price seems like he has depression. Must be cos of **** he ends up fighting. It would depress me beating up on fat ****ers who give away 6 inches or more.

I remember meeting Tyson Fury at the Froch Dirrell presser and made the mistake of asking for a pic just as he was about to dig into the complimentary buffet you could see the hesitation as he was just about to lump a load of potato wedges onto his plate he obliged though .........just
