No. I never thought Bob Sapp was the second coming when he beat Ernesto Hoost in the K-1. And i dont think the same of Brock either. Its ludicrous to give Brock any praise for an unwarranted title shot when this was clearly and still is a marketing gimmick. You can sell that crap to the UFC clones not me.
And you call that the best achievement in all of MMA? That some kind of joke? What was Randy? Since when did Randy Couture become the barometer to measure greatness against? :patsch

you talk like the guy didnt even have to fight. he just rolled up and dana handed him the title.
The fact is if lesnar did all this in strikeforce instead of the ufc youd have needed an operation to get his **** out of your mouth and everyone in this forum knows it.
    its ****ing sad mate :-(

    :rofl

You act like Brock never did anything BUT get a title shot. Why are you so butt-hurt over Brock getting fast-tracked to a title shot? He's an established big name with very legit wrestling credentials who the fans BADLY wanted to see fight for the title. He's not a sideshow freak like Kimbo. Brock was the man the fans wanted to see challenge for the title. Why do you **** and moan so much about that?

Fact of the matter is, Brock has done extremely well despite his lack of experience. The way you are talking, Brock got a shot at the title and got blown out of the water. Well, he didn't. Beating Randy Couture means nothing to you? Big Nog had a tougher time with Randy eight months after Brock stopped him. Brock gained the stoppage, Nog won a decision. And Brock stopped the undefeated wrecking machine Shane Carwin, which is a very solid victory that he would NOT have gotten if he couldn't fight. :nono

He may as well have done. 2-1 after 2 fights!??!?! Priceless.
And you're actually trying to argue the merits of Brock getting a title shot in SF in his first few bouts vs Overeem?

Right, so he wasn't a national champion in college wrestling, he isn't a freakish athlete, and fans weren't interested in seeing him challenge for the title. :patsch

And? He was a champ in OVW too. Where's the correlation between his NCAA experience and MMA? Thats right there is/was NONE.
What on earth makes you think that because he won a few divisional titles, went into Pro Wrestling and then made the leap into MMA in his 30's that his skills he learnt over a decade ago were going to magically translate into MMA? The facts are they did not and have no relevance.
Did you see his pathetic take down attempts vs Cain? You call that wrestling?

As for fans calling for the fight stop talking ****. Fans have been calling for GSP Silva for years. The UFC havent even come remotely close to putting that fight on. Hmmmm i wonder why...
And is Joe Silva out of a job according to you? The fans now decide the match's? And no one was calling for him vs Couture. This was a fight the UFC wanted to sell on PPV because they knew it made perfect business sense. Nothing more or less.

Ah, so you've come back from whacking off over images of The Rock.

    1) What makes YOU think that Brock's wrestling experience means NOTHING? The guy wasn't just A college wrestler - he was a national champion who was headhunted by the WWE to be a superstar because of his size, skills and athleticism. Is it better to be raised on combat sports from the word go? Yes. Does Brock's experience mean nothing more than an NFL player's athletic experience? Dead wrong.

    2) His skills that "have no relevance" translated into wins over Carwin, Mir and Couture. Do you think that your skills in complaining about **** on the internet would translate into wins over Carwin, Mir and Couture? Because Brock's wrestling skills won him victories over those guys.

    3) "Pathetic takedown attempts" vs Cain? What, a couple of times he missed the takedown against an undefeated challenger who nobody has taken down. What a disgrace. You know, prime Muhammed Ali often threw punches that missed by a foot.

    4) GSP-Silva is more likely to happen than Pac-Floyd, I'll tell you that much.

    5) No heavyweight generated as much buzz as Lesnar. Try to deny it, I'll flat out call you a liar. The fans wanted to see him in a title match ASAP. Dana and co wanted him in a title match before he lost a non-title match. Guess what? He won his title shot and had 2 successful defences, which makes him a successful champion. Get over it. :good
