    Nice list , well done. Yeah, there are so many.. Albert Davila, Antonio Margarito, Paul Gonzales, Albert " Superfly" Sandoval, Ruben Munoz. list goes on and on.. But yes, for fighters although born in Mexico, if a fighter resides, fights and becomes an American citizen. They are considered Mexican/ Americans. Compared to fighters like Chavez, Pintor, Marquez. Who although they fight mostly in the U.S. After the fight, they immediately go back to Mexico.
    Plus also Palomino's son was on the U.S. Olympic Boxing team. & was tragically killed in that terrible airline crash which claimed the whole US Boxing team.

    Your right Superfly was a helluva fighter too but i left quite a few contenders out who were just as good or better. Im big on both guys though as i think we are distant relatives:D

    Yey there a so many others that were outstanding fighters, others Frankie Duarte,Oscar Muniz,Tony Baltazar,Manuel Gonzalez,Rafeal Ruelas,Johnny Gonsalves,Rudy Cruz,Eddie Chavez,Cisco Andrade,Jesse Flores,Keeny Teran,Rudy Robles,Raul Marquez,Jese Benavides,Louie Espinoza,Julio Gonzalez,Willie Jorrin.

    Yes one of the first well known Mexican -American fighters. I listed him also known as Kid Colima.

    Did you ever see Keeny Teran fight Scartissue? Every old timer in the Los Angles area swears that he could have been an all time great. A couple well respected trainers who knew him said his talent was freakish. His career and life ruined by heroin addiction:-(

    How reknowned was Gil Cadilli? I know he won a Decision over Pep in their first bout, but I've heard it was quite disputed. Based on the rematch it's difficult for me to see him ever really even troubling Pep, much less beating him. He did look to be a solid, fundamentally sound boxer, though. Just out-classed in that one, although there's certainly no shame there.

    I only saw a few short clips of him, not really enough to determine what he had under the hood. But like you heard, a friend of mine who knew him very well swears by his unlimited potential. He also said he got on the wrong side of a promoter (could have been Babe McCoy) who matched him up hard out of spite. I don't know, but he does sound an awful lot like a Mando Ramos, who also never realized his full potential.
