Bujia just because you lose to a particular fighter, it doesn't mean that every midget will ko your a$$, after those fights they sent Milian (1-4 against TS) and he make Visolki disapear, and read my post again, all Cubans win their medals between 18-21 yo, they stay too long because the regime, but don't buy into that myth, they start kicking a$$ very young.
ps. another one that needs researching a little bit.

Balados death so tragic . I read about it 3-4 weeks after the accident and tried to get the newspapers to mention it, but they would not because it was too long ago.
So nobody in this country got the info.
Stevensons punchingpower must be all time best ,amateurgloves and he did not only knock them down, it was good night sleep well !!!!
Today there is a lightheavyamateur Artur Beterbiev, Russia he is just like that

Stevenson won gold during 3 seperate Olympics. That's a span of 8 years, not 3. He was 34 years old when he retired and 28 when he won the '80 Olympics. His first he won at age 20.

Savon won his first Olympics at age 25 and retired after winning his third at age 33.

These guys were men among boys. Literally, not figuratively.

I think he was talking about Savón, not Balado. I don't think Balado was ever KO'd.

He was hit very little. In fact, when he won the gold medal in Barcelona, he was only hit 9 times in 4 fights. He had a record of 238 wins and only 12 losses in his whole career.

BTW, according to the Cuban media, Balado was exactly 6 feet tall and 94 kgs.

Don't be a troll. Savon won the world championships in 1986 and Cuba boycotted Seoul 1988 so he couldn't compete. He beat them all as a boy himself.

Read that Savon got his last Olympic gold after he lost to Solis. The cubans did send Savon to the olympics so he could win his third gold.

They didn't started as men, they were kids when they won the first, or you are going to tell me that Stevenson at 20 was the older in Montreal, what happens is that do to the regime, they stay too long in the amateurs, that is the problem, 60 years ago they would had win the Gold and jump head first into the pro.

How old was mercer when he won Olympic Gold? How old was Henry Tillman, Tyrell Biggs, lennox lewis when they won Olympic gold? They were 27-24-24 and 23.

The last three super heavyweight gold medal winners in the olympics were 29-25-28yrs old respectively.

Look at Savon Career Highlights he was born in 1967 so he was 19 when he won his first world championship. And 22 when he won his second. He wouldve been a great pro if he couldve sign. If boxing had a draft he wouldve been the #1 pick like 5yrs in a row.

In 1988 at the age of 21 he wouldve won gold easily had cuba not boycotted the games. Andrew Golota a boxer that was competitive in the pros only won bronce in those same olympics.

    Olympic Games
    Gold 1992 Barcelona Heavyweight
    Gold 1996 Atlanta Heavyweight
    Gold 2000 Sydney Heavyweight
    World Amateur Championships
    Gold 1986 Reno Heavyweight

    Gold 1991 Sydney Heavyweight
    Gold 1993 Tampere Heavyweight
