Marg had him hurt because Pacs arm got caught in the ropes and it took him a few seconds to get free. Gave marg about 3-4 seconds to tee off with no defense or counter.
I completely disagree. If you look at him at 126 and below, he had most of the same attributes but he was RAW. His skills greatly improved, his in and out movement, his use of angles, and yes, he is faster, but so is Mayweather, and no one says that speed isn't skill. His precision punching, his improved right hook, his use of angles and shifting the punch in the middle of his combinations to land, is ALL skill. He's much better than he used to be, and its more than just being stronger at a higher weight.
seriously man, did you see the polls for Mosley vs Margarito. I'm with you, only one person voted Mosley by KO and mostly everybody put Margo by Ko
I really cant see this happening, in this fight we may see the most dangerous pacquaio to date, against a once great fighter who is now old helpless opponent more like a gatekeeper, but for arguments sake if Shane did manage to maul manny it would enhance shanes standing greatly. Mayweather - pacquiao would suffer as a consequence and would be less appealing not only to casuals but hardcores aswel, neverless i would still want to see the fight, at least then Mayweather would be fighting in the same condirtions as manny, (fighters coming off losses or bad performances).
hatton was undefeated when mayweather stopped him. thats always much more impressive. i wont even address the de la hoya fight. it wasnt even a fight, it was a sideshow. if mosley knocks out pacquiao, money's performance against mosley will look spectacular to many. wouldnt u agree?
He is more improved than he used to be, but I still attribute most of it to his physical ability. I forgot to mention his awkardness. I think thats more of a talent than a skill. He takes way too many punches and throws sloppy (lets not forget the double clap punch he threw at Clottey lol) punches for me to ever consider him a skilled "boxer" (as in boxer/puncher/pressure fighter...etc) I know thats just his style, but that comes to mind when I think skill. I think his "precision" has more to do with his opponents being swarmed on and not having the reaction time to deal with it. It's not like his accuracy is just through the roof. He's a very unorthodox fighter, throwing weird "wrong" punches from goofy angles and that also makes him a problem to deal with. But hey if it works it works. I'm not saying he's not good at what he does. I just think it has more to do with his physical ability as opposed to actual skill or technique. Just my opinion. Also I'd like to thank you and the other guy who disagreed. Thanks for not giving me a disrespectful ******* reply. It's rare on here that people can disagree and not be disrespectful to each other or down right illogical while discussing varying opinions. Especially when it comes to Pacquiao or Mayweather :good
Sergio Martinez would be next for Mayweather or he would target Cotto after Mayorga. Those are the only 2 fights I could see Mayweather interested in. Nobody else as any type of hype. Amir would be a wildcard though. I don't know if Mosley has it in him to beat a guy more athletically gifted then him though.
