boxer's you have met in person??

I saw Joe Calzaghe and Roy Jones Jr at the Otter pub near Blackwood in Wales not long before their fight. I asked Joe for a picture but he said he was just leaving... and then he left.

 

I heard Joe's a bit of a ***** in person.

And I'm not saying that because I'm a Joe-hater, but I've seen a few posters who have met him, say that.

 

Met Ricky hatton,refused to sign my boxing gloves,took the **** out of me with his bouncer,met Tyson Fury at the Bernard Dunne/Cordoba fight,got a picture with him,was a gent,met Mick Hennesy the promoter the same night,seemed a good guy..,have met Bernard Dunne loads of times,really nice man,has time for everyone..

 

I've seen Carl Johanneson in Leeds several times out drinking with his buddies.

Doesn't really say much but always says hello to anyone who goes up to him.

Think he's a shy lad. Plus talking wastes valuable drinking time :hey

 

Met quite alot of boxers around the opening of the super-six press conference. Kessler, Carl Froch, Rob McCraken.

Froch v Dirrell weigh in met Tyson Fury, Anthony Dirrell (Very nice bloke), Jean Pascal, Dirrell all Froch team again.

Met Richie Woodhall despite him living about 10 minutes away only met him once and that was in Denmark also met Arthur Abraham out there.

Met Lennox Lewis at his masterclass, Spencer Fearon and was completely overwhelmed when i was lucky enough to meet Michael Watson on the same day.

Mick Hennessy is one of the nicest blokes ive met in boxing.

 

Saw Prince Naz quite a few times when he was in sheffield. His mum and my mum know each other quite well. When he used to see me when i was younger his first words believe it or not were always 'Why aren't you in school' and 'Make sure your not messing about.'

 

A bunch of my mates met him in London last year and said he was spot on. Took pictures with them and everything.

 

I saw Danny Williams but didn't realise it was him at the time. I was staring at him and thinking this guy looks familiar.

 

I'm still gonna go ahead and think he's a *****. :good

 

At first glance i thought the title said boxers you have met in prison!!! weres my glasses!! haha!!

 

He is sound though.

 

Lol, mate, I don’t know why, but he just rubs me up the wrong way.

I look at guys like Klitschko brothers, Danny Williams, Michael Katsidis, Enzo Maccarinelli etc, and just know they’re top blokes. I don’t think I’d even need to meet them in person to confirm that. Can’t say the same for Joe, though.

 

met martin rogan a couple of years ago in turkey he stayed in the same hotel as me top bloke chatted to him for a little while,know kevin mitchell for living around the same manor u wouldnt meet a nicely bloke,ive heard nicky cook is well up himself tho:rofl
