I understand Marquez not wanting Nacho to train Maidana, it's a valid reason since Marquez-Maidana is a good option for a fight. But why wait till they were in Mexico to suddenly decide that? And why not even meet them and tell them face to face? (although not even meeting team maidana is more on nacho)

    :patsch Seriously?

If the reports are correct, Marquez put Nacho in this shitty position, how the f*ck is this on Beristain for f*cksaks? They always worked together and have kind the professional and personal relationship that can make or break a career. So if the head of Team Marquez, JMM himself asks - more likely demands - Nacho not to work with Maidana, Beristain can either say go f*ck yourself Juan Manuel which would end their relationship, or can dump Maidana, it doesn't seem he had any other choice.

The way Nacho handled this was ugly if the reports are correct, but put yourself in his shoes for Chrissakes, he made an agreement with Maidana, gave his word, then his sort-of boss (he can't lose Marquez, his biggest fighter) pulls the plug - if Maidana walks to his face and asks 'WTF Nacho' exactly what the **** Nacho can say?

Maidana tweeted the other day that Nacho offered JMM as a sparring partner for the Morales fight, so this is quite a surprising development.

As Laz said, Nacho could have said that this is a one fight deal only if a fight with Marquez looked possible. Marquez probably had issues with his trainer sharing wisdom with a future opponent and I get it, but this should have been determined when the first offer was made 10 days ago.

    Bad **** here.

Maybe Marquez sees the fight as complete bs and doesnt want to take no part in it.

Ho ****... If he doesn't have it in him to disagree with JMM he should have brought this matter to him BEFORE asking Maidana to come down to Mexico.

Anybody who knows boxing , knows the Beristain Marquez relationship takes precendence over any other fighter in that gym , his own brother left the gym because of it !!! , team Maidana should of a) seen something like this coming and b) looked for a more realistic long term more settled option ............

What about Robert Garcia ??? ..............

At every business I've been employed, we have always conducted staff meetings and discussed upcoming changes and shared information.

Perhaps Nacho should consider having them with his main guys.
