    Ridiculous.

Americans never would have stood for the level of competition he fought for 9 years. Hell guys like Mayweather gets trashed for his resume and extended periods without fighting top opponents. A guy like Pavlik got railed against for having 3 or 4 fights against weak comp. You think Calzaghe would get away with it for 9 years and close to 20 fights with only a few relatively quality fights mixed in?

 It's irrelent to the topic moron. There's no point to it since it adds NOTHING. You are too stupid to even understand that.

How does me naming any American fighters figure into Joe C's resume? Guess what ****, it doesn't. Typical post from a kid who doesn't know ****.

BTW...why not just go to boxrec and look it up yourself. Since you are the boxrec expert here.

So you cant do it :patsch:lol:.

Uppercunt who came out with this statement "His resume would STILL be weak if he was American you ****. And if he was American, you'd be the first to **** on how overhyped Calzaghe was. Kindly just **** off.... "

Cant name One American fighter from Calzaghes era or active today with a strong fantastic resume.

You made the statement about a weak resume but cant produce the name of aa American fighter with a strong resume .

Maybe you should go on Boxrec, or you can just do what you normally do which is make statements that you cant back up . Pathetic

Calzaghe embarrassed Hopkins. It was sad seeing Hopkins cry and try to say he was robbed after the fight because he was so embarrassed for losing to a white boy, whatever that means.

That White boy would beat Roy Jones and Hopkins any day of the week, just deal with it.

I think we can all agree that love him or hate him that Joe is a great fighter.

But Hopkins at 43 had a very close fight with Joe. Joe's workrate won the fight, but Hopkins landed the cleaner and more effective punches.

Roy Jones in his prime would be any version of Joe Calzaghe, to be fair Roy was simply the best LHW since Micheal Spinks in early 80s. And at 168, he was just lethal.

:patsch Calzaghe didnt beat Hopkins on workrate, he beat Hopkins because he was able to land more often with clean shots.
It wasnt a close fight. One judge scored the single highest score against Hopkins ever 116-111, the other judge had it 115-112. It is only called a close fight because one judge scored for Hopkins, but what isnt noted is the 2 judges who scored clearly for Calzaghe saw a similar fight in scoring 9 rounds the same. Remember Calzaghe was fighting at a new weight in America with 3 American judges and Cortez letting Hopkins hold. Also note Calzaghe beat Hopkins sandwiched between Hopkins best wins of Tarver, Wright and Pavlik.

As for Jones he was a proven cheat. Remember Jones didnt prove himself as the best LHW against Michalczewski who was the man at LHW.
