Regarding a song for Manchester (and seeing as most of them are ripping off the Green Brigade) I think "Champions 67" could be altered appropriately.

    "In the heat of Lis-bon,
The fans came in their thou-sands,
    To see the Bhoys be-come
    Champ-i-ons
    Six-ty sev-en"

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycAorPfMajU[/ame]

    This could be changed to-

    In Eng-land,
The fans came in their thou-sands,
    To see Dudey be-come,
    World Champ-i-on,
    In twenty eleven,

Funnily enough the shocks you suggest are the same i was thinking, i.e. ward and mcdonagh! but i'd fancy chris phelan for the 52kg category....and maybe brabazon/nolan in the welterweights

Was doing a bit with Brabazon for a local paper this week. His story is great, five years away, just back in 'proper' training since Jan and he is one fight away from the finals. He seems confident and is defo up for it.

I've had a lot going on so I haven't had my mind on boxing for the last couple of months so I'm miles behind on the news. Jaysus lads whats going on with the amateurs this year. Funny looking draw when I downloaded it off the iaba site!

I only heard Hyland is fighting Collado/Acosta the other day too. Fair play to him for stepping up to the plate but it's a dangerous thing to do. He'll be in a bit of a pickle if he loses two on the bounce.

Any word on a Carlos opponent yet?

Setanta Ireland have the Witter fight this weekend. Better than nothing.

    also have o'donnell
think ill sign up this weekend
hyland claiming he not offered enough money
seems to be recurring theme with the fighters on this bill
    healy, hyland, tims maybe
hope they get this ''best card ireland has ever seen '' thing sorted because its all gone very quiet lately and they might end up embarrasing themselves with their bold claims

Is it? It is Witter after all!

Do they have the O'Donnell fight though, seems to be a lot of confusion over that. I though they would have coz isnt premier sports supposed to be a re badged version of setanta for the uk?
