That's it in a nutshell. Just because someone is a 'celeb' why does that mean it's ok to abuse them? Criticise objectively YES I'm all for that. Abuse just because you can from behind the anonimity of a keyboard and because you or someone else has given them celebrity status...no way!!

the thing with this is it depends what you call abuse. i think some of the comments towards kevin mitchell in the last week have been far worse than anything said to Gavin and Bellew today.

same as David Haye. it just seems worse because they post on here and react to it.

at the end of the day i am still yet to see anything written on this forum about a boxer as offensive as what Paul Smith called us.

Sadly it seems that being in the business and posting on here seems to paint a target on that particular persons back these days.

Billy Joe Saunders doesnt post online and is "rumoured" to not be the best conditioned pro around but we never see the same sort of abuse thrown his way. Similarly we never see trainers such a Shannon, Hughes, etc get the sort of stick that Nelson gets and thats just becuase he chooses to talk boxing with the average joe boxing fan.

Some posters think it is their divine right and duty to interrogate and castigate anybody in boxing that appears on this forum

 

I respect your view that you dont want boxers on here for whatever reason, however that doesnt give you the right to carry out an agenda so that it happens.
