A friend of mine just sent an email to the president of the WBA

Whether this guy will actually see it or not is questionable the email to me is interesting

THIS IS NOT A HAYE HATE THREAD (I dont like Haye but this isnt about him its about the WBA authority)

The email asks why Chagaev is not getting his shot at the WBA vs Haye.

Ruslan Chagaev has done nothing but dedicate a career to the WBA. He fought an eliminator vs Virchis and beat former holder Ruiz to get a shot at Valuev.

He beat Valuev and won their title.

He defended it and paid sanctioning fees. He could not fight, Valuev was given the title but was snubbed when promised to get a rematch for his belt that was really his.

Chagaev once again won an eliminator this time vs Meehan and was once again promised a chance at a title he could still lay claim to vs Haye

Now like the Valuev fight he is being denied over a non contagious condition

The email stresses just because the UK cant sanction the fight why cant he get the fight

Its the WBA a world organization and the champion represents the world and defends his title vs the world

Its not the UKBA its the WBA, this titlefight does not have to take place in the UK.

This has to be the first time a world organization has snubbed its own mandatory just because of a regional body

a world body vs a regional body

the email bashed the WBA for backing down to the local body and not having the power to make their champ fight an obligated mandatory challenger how often do you think the WBA over steps a mandatory

It just makes the WBA look less credible especially since they are snubbing a guy for who for a career has paid much of his purse to their organization and represented them

I'll put up the response to the email if one is given

If Chagaev can't fight inside of the UK the WBA must force Haye to fight him outside England, Or get stripped!!!

It won't do ANY good because the WBA is a terribly corrupt organization with one goal, MONEY. They would gladly cut a fighters throat that provided them with cash for years if it meant lining their pockets more. It will be a great day when they no longer exist.

That is one fight. Of his 8 career 12-rounders, the other 7 have all involved the WBA.

Also, you should "check" more often. He's fought twice since losing to Klitschko, once in - you guessed it, a WBA eliminator.

    Not this again.

If the British Boxing Board of Control deny Chagaev a licence to box in the UK, that effectively means they won't allow Haye to fight him anywhere. End of story.

Well, I suppose Haye could fight him, but would be fined and probably banned too.

The fact that the German commission allows Chagaev to box is irrelevant.

Before you start with the ''shut up nuthugger'' line, I'm probably top of the list of Haye detractors - he's both a coward and a money grabbing fraud.

But I wouldn't blame him for not wanting to face Chagaev, or ''hiding'' behind the board if they put the blocker on it.

In any case, who in their right mind wants to see this fight. Chagaev looked shot to **** against a very average Travis Walker, and would be brutalised by Haye. At least Povetkin is younger, healthier and has a bit of recent form.
