Great questions. Too bad there's no legitimate source for the answers.

My guess is DiBella agreed to it just to make it happen. Saying NO to GBP for an HBO fight not the smartest move in the world I guess.

So Ortiz is asking for a catchweight between 143 and 146? Glad Berto won't budge and go smaller, if Ortiz doesn't want to go up to 147 they should both fight someone else...

At the Ring, says 145 + 1. Not sure what the **** that means...

Berto probably has to either score an impressive KO or dominate equal to or better than Maidana's performance against Victor for him to gain any legitimate notoriety amongst is detractors, in my estimation.

If Berto wins...he beat a former jrWW who hasn't even a big win at 140. And I assume, he'll STILL hold out any challenges for Pac or May.... Way to go HBO!

Yeah I accepted him facing Ortiz in hopes that Ortiz would come to fight but a catchweight doesn't even make sense. Wasn't he coming up to full WW anyways? Just doesn't make sense.

Supposedly he was, since having trouble making 140. I would be happy just to know WTF 145+1 is supposed to mean? Supposed to fight at 145, but can weigh 146? :huh

Ortiz by BRUTAL KO in the early rounds, or Berto UD in the later rounds.

Ortiz has good punching power, but he just can't go the distance.

I'm a huge Ortiz fan, but this fight has me a little worried. Even though neither man has faced an opponent of the others caliber (maybe ortiz did since he fought maidana, but we know what happened there) , Berto has more natural gifts. I think Ortiz is going to heavily rely on his power to make a difference in the fight. I don't think u can go into a fight with that being your only weapon.

You guys don't give Berto enough credit, he's a good fighter. Yes he got dropped by Cosme, **** happens.. and yes the Collazo fight was a tough fight.. but Collazo always fought a very tough fight with a pretty prime version of Hatton.

I'm thinking Berto is all kinds of wrong for Ortiz.
